A Prayer for Boldness and Faith in Sharing the Gospel
"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." - Mark 16:15-16

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You with humility, my heart is filled with awe for the mission You have entrusted to us. You, O Lord, commanded in Mark 16:15-16, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." These words echo through the ages, reminding us of the sacred responsibility we have to carry forth the message of hope and salvation. You have called us to be ambassadors of Your kingdom, to share the Gospel with every person, regardless of their background or belief.
Lord, I pray for the courage to heed this charge. In a world filled with uncertainty and often, opposition to our faith, help me to remain steadfast in my commitment to proclaim Your Word. Grant me the boldness of spirit that is necessary to speak the truth of Your Gospel, not only with my lips but through my actions as well. Let my life be a shining example of Your love and grace, compelling others to inquire about the hope that I have within me.
In my interactions, Lord, may I reflect Your kindness and compassion. Help me to see every creature as an opportunity to share Your message, a soul who deserves to hear of the salvation found in Jesus Christ. Give me the wisdom to approach those I meet with love and understanding, to listen actively, and to respond with gentleness, for I recognize that it is the kindness of God that leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Father, as I go into the world, fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Empower me with the words to speak, even when I feel inadequate or unprepared. Remind me of the promise that You are with me, and that Your Spirit will guide me in every conversation I undertake. Let me not shy away from difficult discussions, but rather approach them with a heart that seeks to understand and to share Your truth. Give me the persistence to keep sowing seeds of faith, even if the harvest does not come immediately. Let my faith rest in Your timing, trusting that You are working all things together for Your good purpose.
I pray for those whom I will meet in the world, Lord. Each individual is a unique creation made in Your image, deserving of the opportunity to hear about Your love and mercy. I ask that You prepare their hearts to receive the Gospel. May they be open and receptive to the message of Christ, understanding their need for salvation and confessing their sins before You. I especially ask for boldness to bring the message to those in my life who might most resist it — family members, friends, colleagues. Give me the heart of a true evangelist, driven not by fear of rejection but by the pressing desire to see others come to a saving faith in Jesus.
I acknowledge, Lord, that while belief leads to salvation, the reality is that not all will accept the glorious gift offered to them. Help me to understand this truth without losing heart or feeling discouraged. Allow me to remain hopeful and persistent, even in the face of adversity, knowing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers (Ephesians 6:12). Each time I share the Gospel, let it draw me closer to You through prayer, anchoring me even when results aren't visible.
Ultimately, Lord, I desire to hear, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant" when I stand before You. May my life, fueled by the love of Christ, reflect Your glory. May Your Gospel reach the ends of the earth through the efforts of my heart and hands.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.
