Heavenly Father,

As I bow before you today, I come with a heart filled with gratitude for your Word, which is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105). I reflect upon the life of Jeroboam, a mighty man of valour, as narrated in 1 Kings 11:28, where it is written: "And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph." Lord, I am humbled by your selection of Jeroboam and the immense responsibilities you entrusted to him.

Lord, I recognize that your calling often comes not when we are at our peak, but instead, it requires us to demonstrate the qualities of bravery and diligence appropriate for leadership. Just as Jeroboam was an industrious servant, I ask that you instill within me a spirit of hard work and commitment to excellence in all that I do. Enlighten my understanding so that I may carry out my duties with integrity and a heart of service, ensuring that I do not seek glory for myself, but rather reflect your greatness in every task I undertake.

Help me, Lord, to be a man or woman of valour in my own life. Grant me the courage to stand firm in the face of challenges, to be brave when fear surrounds me, and to possess an unwavering resolve to lead with righteousness. I pray that you will cultivate within me a heart that seeks to uplift those around me, much like Solomon recognized Jeroboam's industrious nature and elevated him to a position of authority. May my actions speak louder than my words, that I may become a testament to your goodness.

Moreover, gracious God, I pray for wisdom in leadership. Just as Solomon saw the qualities in Jeroboam that warranted his promotion, I ask that you will open the eyes of those in authority over me to recognize the potential you've placed within me. Help me to cultivate relationships that will support my growth and enable me to advance in my calling. Guide me to be humble in my ascent, always acknowledging that my strength comes from you alone, and stretch out my hands in service to those I lead.

Father, I beseech You to give me understanding as I navigate the responsibilities entrusted to me. Grant me discernment to see what is true and just amidst the noise and chaos that often surrounds leadership. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, that I may act and speak according to your will, leading with a heart enriched by love and compassion. Let my leadership be marked by integrity and fairness, reflecting not just my ambition but Your divine purpose.

I also pray for the relationships I have with those around me – my family, friends, and colleagues. May I foster an environment of encouragement and support, just as Solomon found in Jeroboam the qualities needed to manage the house of Joseph. Teach me how to build a community where we can work together, motivated by a shared vision of success and faithfulness.

Lastly, I turn my heart to the future, knowing that Jeroboam's rise was just the beginning of a journey that would lead to both triumphs and tribulations. In light of this, I pray for endurance. Keep my spirit resilient during difficult times, plant seeds of hope in my heart, and remind me always of the promises you have for those who serve you faithfully.
