King David, a man after Your own heart, had a significant role not only in the kingdom of Israel but also in the lives of his sons. I ask that You grant me the wisdom to lead and guide those under my care in a way that reflects Your love and justice. Help me to be mindful of my words and actions, for I understand that they can deeply influence others, even in moments of silence. Let me not overlook the small, subtle gestures in my relationships, which can affirm or dishearten those I love.

Father, I acknowledge the weight of the trust You've placed upon me as a leader and a guide. David is depicted in this verse as a loving father who never displeased his son by questioning him, and I pray that I, too, may reflect understanding and compassion in my relationships.
