Heavenly Father, Lord God Almighty, we come before You in reverence and awe, recognizing Your supreme authority over all the earth and our lives. As we meditate upon Your Word, particularly the verse from 1 Kings 4:2, which states, "And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest," we are reminded of the importance of wise and righteous leadership. We thank You, O Lord, for the leaders You have placed among us, for those who serve in positions of authority, and for the many responsibilities they bear in their service to others.

Lord, we lift up all leaders—be they in government, communities, or our churches. Just as Azariah was a priest and a leader to King Solomon, may our leaders today be men and women of integrity, wisdom, and courage. We pray that they seek Your guidance in every decision they make and that they govern not by their own understanding, but with divine insight. May they be aware that their authority comes from You, and that they are called to serve Your people with humility and grace.

Father, we ask that You fill our leaders with the knowledge and understanding they need to lead effectively. Lord, give us the discernment to recognize those whom You have appointed to positions of leadership. Help us to support and uplift them through our prayers and actions. Remind us that we have a role to play; we must engage in the democratic process, raise our voices for those who cannot, and encourage our leaders to act justly and righteously. Let us be vigilant in holding our leaders accountable to the sacred trust placed upon them, encouraging them to remain steadfast to their vow of integrity.

As Azariah the son of Zadok served faithfully, we pray for a profound sense of duty and allegiance to that which is just and good among all leaders.
