I reflect on the profound gift that You granted him, as recorded in Your Holy Word: “And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.” (1 Kings 4:29 KJV). I am in awe of the depth of wisdom that transcends human comprehension, recognizing that such gifts come from You alone.

Heavenly Father, I humbly seek Your wisdom, which You so liberally provided to Solomon. In a world filled with distractions and noise, I yearn for clarity of thought and purpose. Grant me, Lord, the kind of wisdom that goes beyond mere knowledge—help me to discern good from evil, light from darkness, and truth from deception. May Your wisdom illuminate my path and guide my decisions, allowing me to navigate the complexities of life with grace and understanding.

I ask, dear God, for the same understanding that You granted to Solomon, which is not just an accumulation of facts, but a deep, heartfelt insight into the mysteries of life. Gracious Lord, I recognize that such wisdom requires a ‘largeness of heart.’ I plead for the expansion of my heart, that it may embrace kindness, humility, and a genuine love for others. As Solomon was known for his unparalleled wisdom and understanding, may my life reflect the fruits of Your Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, and kindness. Make me a vessel of Your grace, pouring out the love you have shown me so that I may help others and reflect Your character.
