Heavenly Father,

With a heart full of reverence and praise, I come before Your throne today, inspired by the words of Solomon as he spoke in 2 Chronicles 1:8: "And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead." Lord, I stand in awe of Your mercy, a mercy that flows boundlessly and graciously through generations. Just as You bestowed great kindness upon David, I acknowledge that Your mercy extends to each of us, allowing us to step into roles and responsibilities far beyond our ability and righteousness alone.
