A Prayer for Divine Provision and Collaboration
"Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants," - 2 Chronicles 2:8

O Sovereign Lord, King of glory and creator of the heavens and the earth, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging Your supreme authority and unmatched wisdom. As we reflect upon the words of 2 Chronicles 2:8 – "Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants," I see the importance of collaboration, seeking provision, and relying on Your divine guidance in all endeavors.
Lord, just as Solomon recognized the necessity of connecting with others for the great work of building the temple, I too am reminded of the value of working alongside those whom You have gifted with skill. I acknowledge that You bless us with talents and abilities, not merely for our own benefit but for the benefit of the community and ultimately for Your glory. Teach me, O Lord, to appreciate the unique contributions of others and to humbly seek partnership in fulfilling the tasks assigned to me.
Heavenly Father, as I envision the cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, I ask you to send forth what is needed for the vision in my heart. Just as Solomon sought the finest materials to create a place of worship, may I seek Your resources to build up the work You have placed before me. Help me to recognize the value in what I already possess and to trust that You will provide abundantly from both familiar and foreign sources, just as Solomon reached out beyond his kingdom to the skilled craftsmen of Lebanon.
Lord, I pray for the relationships and connections I need in my life. Just as Solomon’s servants collaborated with the servants of Hiram, may I too find people who are willing to partner with me in the work You have called me to do. Lead me to those individuals who have the skills, the wisdom, and the perseverance to contribute to the vision You have birthed in my heart. Surround me with advisors and co-laborers who not only possess practicality but who also share a common goal to serve You in all that we do.
Father, lend me the patience to cultivate these partnerships, understanding that the building of great works takes time and effort. May I approach every partnership with humility and a spirit of cooperation, acknowledging the strengths and insights of my partners, just as Solomon did with Hiram. May our teamwork be marked by respect, encouragement, and unity in purpose. Let us celebrate each small victory in this process as a testament to Your divine provision and purpose.
In times of struggle or discouragement, remind me of the trust that Solomon placed in both You and the skills of others. Help me to lean upon You for encouragement, clinging to the truth that You are the ultimate provider – not only in resources, but in wisdom, strength, and creativity. May I wait patiently upon Your timing, knowing that Your plans are perfect and will come to fruition, one timber at a time.
Lastly, oh Lord, let all that we do be to honor and glorify Your name. Just as the temple was built to be a dwelling place for Your presence, may my efforts serve to extend Your love, hope, and truth to the world around me. May the outcomes of our labors resonate with a power and beauty that reflect who You are.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
