Lord, we acknowledge that You are eternally faithful to Your promises and merciful in Your dealings with humanity. As Solomon cried out for the anointing of Your presence and the recognition of Your servants, we too ask that You do not turn Your face away from us. Your mercies are new every morning, O Lord, and we are thankful for the grace that flows abundantly from Your throne. As David, despite his flaws, was called a man after Your own heart, help us to strive after You with the same earnest devotion. May we seek to align our hearts with Yours, cultivating a relationship grounded in love, repentance, and faithfulness.

Lord, as we recall the life of David, we remember not only his victories but also his failures.
