Heavenly Father,

In the quiet moments of my heart, I come before You, reflecting on the profound words of the Apostle Paul, who, in his anguish and concern for the Corinthian church, spoke these words, "Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?" (2 Corinthians 12:17, KJV). Lord, today I seek Your guidance and wisdom as I consider the implications of this verse in my own life and in the lives of those around me.

Father, I recognize that the foundation of my faith and the community of believers is built upon integrity, love, and genuine relationships. I desire to understand the true essence of accountability and responsibility in serving others as Paul exemplified through his ministry. Please strip away any tendencies toward greed or manipulation that may lurk within me. Instead, fill me with the selflessness that embodies the spirit of Christ, who came not to be served, but to serve. Let my actions, my words, and my intentions be pure and sincere, reflecting Your love and grace.

In a world filled with deceit, where many seek to profit from others’ vulnerabilities, I ask for Your protection over the church and over our spiritual leaders. Shield them from the temptation to exploit the trust of their congregations. May they lead by example, demonstrating how to build each other up, rather than tear each other down, by exercising responsibility and serving not for gain but out of love for You and Your people.

Father, I pray for those who have been wounded by the actions of others in positions of authority, including church leaders. Heal their hearts and restore their faith. Help them to see the difference between Your perfect love and the imperfections of man. May they come to understand that their value is not determined by the actions of flawed vessels but rests solely in who You are.

Lord, I also present to You the relationships I hold dear—family, friends, and fellow believers. Help me to examine my heart and my motives in every interaction. Am I seeking what is best for others, or am I subconsciously hoping to gain favor or recognition? Reveal to me any hidden agendas, and cleanse my heart if I have ever sought to leverage my relationships for personal benefit. Let me carry the weight of accountability, not as a burden but as a privilege, understanding that it is a reflection of my love for You and for my neighbor.

As I ponder the question, "Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?" I commit myself to honesty and transparency. May my yes be yes, and my no be no. Let my life be a testament to Your truth, Lord, where I support and uplift those I encounter without any ulterior motives.
