A Prayer for Divine Attributes
"By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned," - 2 Corinthians 6:6

Heavenly Father,
I come before You today, acknowledging the greatness of Your love and the depth of Your grace. As I meditate on the words of 2 Corinthians 6:6, I am reminded that You call us to embody pureness, knowledge, longsuffering, kindness, the empowerment of the Holy Ghost, and love that is unfeigned. In a world filled with darkness and strife, I earnestly seek to reflect these divine attributes in my life.
First, I pray for pureness of heart, Lord. Cleanse me from all impurities—both seen and unseen. Remove any bitterness or resentment that may linger within me, for I desire to be pure in my thoughts, intentions, and actions. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Let my heart be a vessel that reflects Your holiness, where Your love can thrive without hindrance.
I ask for knowledge, Father, knowledge that comes from You alone. Your Word tells us that wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, and I pray that You instill within me a hunger for knowledge that draws me closer to You. Teach me to understand Your ways and to seek Your truth in every endeavor. Help me to discern between right and wrong, and guide my steps along paths of righteousness. May my knowledge not just be filled with information but rooted in the revelation of Your character, enabling me to walk in wisdom and humility.
Longsuffering is a profound quality that reflects Your patience and grace. I pray for the strength to endure trials and tribulations with a spirit of patience and perseverance. In times of testing, may I remain steadfast and resolute, trusting in Your plan even when it is difficult to see. Help me to extend the same patience to others, recognizing that we are all on our journeys, learning and growing in faith. Teach me to bear the burdens of others and to remain forgiving, just as You have forgiven me.
Kindness, Lord, is an essential part of who You are. I ask that You cultivate kindness in my heart. May my words and actions be filled with compassion and empathy. Help me to see others through Your eyes, and to treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve. Instill in me a spirit of generosity, that I may readily extend my hand in service and be a blessing to those around me. Let kindness be the language I speak, a reflection of Your character in every interaction.
I pray for a deeper relationship with the Holy Ghost, the Comforter You have sent to guide us. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and let His presence dwell richly within me. Enable me to be sensitive to His leading, to be filled with His power, and to bear His fruits in my life. May the Holy Spirit ignite my passions and zeal for Your Kingdom, empowering me to accomplish Your will on earth.
Lastly, Lord, I seek to embody love unfeigned. Teach me how to love authentically, without pretense or agenda. Help me to love as You have loved—unconditionally and sacrificially. May my love be a reflection of Your heart, a love that seeks the good of others, even at my own expense. Let my love be evident in my family, my community, and beyond, creating a ripple effect that draws others closer to You.
In all these things, I seek to honor You, glorifying Your name through my life. May the attributes of pureness, knowledge, longsuffering, kindness, the Holy Ghost, and unfeigned love be woven into the very fabric of my being. I trust in Your transformative power to make me more like You each day.
In Jesus' mighty name, I pray,
Amen.
