We find ourselves in a similar posture of humility, longing for the miraculous touch of Your healing power in our lives.

Father, it is written, "Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out" (2 Kings 4:37 KJV). In these profound words, we see the beauty of surrender and the depth of a mother’s love. She approached Elisha not with pride, but in utter humility, recognizing that her only hope lay in Your divine intervention. May we, too, approach You with that same heart of surrender, understanding that all we are and all we have is a gift from Your mighty hand.

Lord, we often find ourselves chasing after the cares of this world, distracted by the challenges and trials we face. Yet, You remind us that in our darkest moments, it is not the urgency of our pleas but the posture of our hearts that matters. Teach us to bow low in prayer, to leave behind our burdens at Your feet, and to trust wholly in Your perfect timing and wisdom. As the Shunammite woman left her home with nothing but despair, she returned in triumph, her son restored to life. Bring us to that same place of belief, where we can take up our "sons and daughters"— our hopes and dreams— that seem lost and carry them out into the light of Your promise.

Heavenly Father, in this moment of reflection, we lift up all the areas of our lives that feel dead or lifeless. Relationships that have suffered, dreams that have been deferred, and aspirations that seem miles away. We place these heavy burdens at Your feet, trusting that You are capable of renewing and restoring all things. Just as the Shunammite’s fear was transformed into faith, we ask that You would transform our doubts into confidence, our hopelessness into expectation of Your goodness.
