A Prayer for Unity and Divine Seeking
"And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:" - Acts 17:26-27

O Heavenly Father,
We come before you in humble adoration, recognizing the vastness of your creation and the infinite wisdom with which you have designed the world. Your Word in Acts 17:26-27 reminds us that "And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:" In this beautiful tapestry of humanity, You have woven together individuals from every nation, tribe, and language, united by our common ancestry and purpose.
Lord, we thank You for the diversity that You have instituted among us. Help us to see each other as brothers and sisters; all created in Your image and formed from one blood. Forgive us, O Lord, for the times we have allowed divisions, prejudices, and misunderstandings to cloud our vision and hearts. May we not forget that beneath our varying cultures, languages, and traditions, there beats the same human heart, yearning for love, acceptance, and peace. Teach us to celebrate our differences while remembering that we share a common origin and destiny in You.
God of all creation, You have "determined the times before appointed" in our lives, and given us a geographical space to live in; our own unique bounds of habitation. We acknowledge that all things unfold according to Your divine plan. Help us to trust in Your timing, even when we face uncertainties or challenges in our environments. Grant us patience and grace to walk through each season of our lives with faith, knowing that You have placed us where we are for a purpose. May we embrace our roles as servants of Your will in our own lands, and may we seek to be beacons of Your light amidst the darkness around us.
Father, in your infinite mercy, we hear Your call to "seek the Lord," and we long to answer it with all our hearts. Ignite a fervor in us to pursue You relentlessly, to yearn for Your presence in our lives, and to desire a deeper relationship with You. You desire for us to "feel after" You, and while we often feel lost in our struggles, remind us that You are ever near. Teach us to be aware of Your presence and to recognize the ways in which You reveal Yourself to us every day.
Lord, as we seek You, may we be transformed into instruments of reconciliation and grace in our communities. Let us carry the message of Your love and hope into the hearts of those who feel distant from You. Stir within us a passion for evangelism, so that we may share the Good News with those who have not yet found You. Use us to foster connections among people of all backgrounds and to bridge gaps that the world has created. Arm us with compassion, patience, and understanding, that we might represent Your love to everyone we encounter.
As we gather in prayer, may we be reminded that You are not far from anyone of us. Instill in us a sense of urgency to share this truth with others, to let them know of Your nearness and readiness to embrace those who seek You. May we remember that Your arms are open wide, welcoming all who call upon Your name.
Help us, O Lord, to create a world that reflects the unity You envision for all nations—one where Your love transcends boundaries, and where we are defined not by our differences but by our shared faith in You. May Your Spirit guide us in this journey of love, understanding, and unity.
In the name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
