A Prayer of Acknowledgment and Faith
"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:" - Acts 2:22

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a humble heart, grateful for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. In Acts 2:22, Your Word declares, "Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know." Lord, I acknowledge the profound truth in these words, and I ask for Your guidance as I reflect on the life and works of Jesus, who was so evidently appointed and empowered by You to fulfill Your divine plan.
Father, I pray for the ability to truly hear and understand the significance of these words. Open my ears, Lord, that I may perceive the depth of the miracles, wonders, and signs performed by Jesus. Help me to recognize that these acts were not mere incidents, but powerful manifestations of Your love, grace, and power here on earth. Like the men of Israel, let me not take for granted the sacred truth of Jesus’s life, who came not only to the world but also for my personal salvation.
Lord, I reflect on the endless signs that Jesus brought forth – the healing of the sick, restoring sight to the blind, raising the dead, and feeding the multitudes. I realize that each miracle was a testament to Your approval and affirmation of His identity as the Messiah. Please, help me to cultivate a spirit of awe and reverence in response to these testimonies of Your goodness. May I never lose sight of the significance of these events, but rather let them deepen my faith and resolve to follow Him more closely.
I confess that often my heart becomes clouded by doubt and cynicism, much like the hearts of those who witnessed Jesus yet failed to accept Him fully. As I ponder this Scripture, I ask that You cleanse me of any skepticism that lingers within. Renew my mind so that I may witness the wonders of Your workings in my life and in the world around me. Help me to perceive the extraordinary in the ordinary, recognizing that Your miracles extend even beyond biblical times, present today in our everyday lives.
Gracious Lord, I also pray for those who have not yet come to know Jesus as their Savior. Let Your Spirit move among the hearts of those who hear the message of Jesus. May they see His works—both in the past and present—and respond with faith and belief. Creating an enthusiasm for Your Gospel within me, may I become an instrument that shares Your truth with others, proclaiming the miracles of Jesus and the love You have for humanity.
As I think about the many miraculous signs Jesus performed, I cannot help but reflect upon the ultimate miracle: His death and resurrection. Jesus’s sacrifice, which You ordained, has allowed my sins to be washed away, and I am eternally grateful. Every sign and wonder He did points me to the reality of Your redemptive power available to all who seek You. I pray that this profound gratitude overflows into every area of my life, inspiring me to live in a way that honors the significant gift He provided.
Help me, Father, to walk in the light of these truths; to embody the love that Jesus showed through His miracles. May I serve as a beacon of hope to others, reflecting Your light in a world that often feels dark and devoid of hope. Let my life be a testament to Your miracles that continue to unfold as You work in and through me.
Thank You, dear Lord, for the gift of Your Word and the truths contained within. May I always strive to hear, understand, and live out the profound meanings of the Scriptures as I keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith. In His mighty name, I pray, Amen.

"Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him." - Acts 2:22-24
