Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, grateful for the grace and mercy that You continually pour into our lives. As we gather in Your presence, we reflect on the powerful passage from Acts 4:13, where it is written, "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."

Lord, we are reminded that true wisdom and strength come not from the accolades of this world, nor from the depth of our formal education, but from our intimate relationship with You, our Savior. Just as Peter and John boldly proclaimed the truth of Your Gospel, we too seek the same profound courage to live out our faith unashamedly.

Father, we humbly ask that You instill in us the same boldness that Peter and John exhibited—a boldness that transcends our fears, our insecurities, and our uncertainties. Empower us by Your Holy Spirit to stand firm in our beliefs and convictions, even when faced with ridicule or doubt. Help us to recognize that it is not our own understanding that will sway others, but rather the evidence of our time spent with You, living out the love and truth that You have woven into our lives.

As we ponder the fact that these men were described as “unlearned and ignorant” in the eyes of the learned society, we realize that our worth and ability to influence others do not hinge on worldly qualifications. Help each one of us to embrace our unique gifts, knowing that You have purposefully called us to Your service. Teach us to rely not on human wisdom, but on the divine wisdom that flows from our relationship with You.

Lord, we also pray for a renewed understanding of discipleship. Just as Peter and John had spent time in Your presence, may we be diligent to seek communion with You in our daily lives. Instill in us a yearning to witness Your miracles, to share in Your passion, and to engage in deep, sincere prayer. May we prioritize our time with You and drink deeply from the well of Your Word, becoming equipped for every good work You have prepared for us.

Father, we are aware that the challenges we face in our evangelistic efforts may leave us feeling inadequate at times. But let us remember that it was the boldness of the apostles that turned the world upside down, not their scholarly achievements. Help us to trust that as we speak Your truth into the lives of those around us, You will provide the clarity and wisdom needed in those moments.

Grant us the grace to carry ourselves with humility, recognizing that our intellect does not define our effectiveness in Your Kingdom. Make us vessels of Your love and truth, allowing those we encounter to witness not just our words, but our demeanor brimming with peace, joy, and boldness—reflective of our time with You.

Lord, as we stand as instruments of Your will, may our actions and words bear witness to the transformative power of being in Your presence. Allow our lives to be living testimonies of the grace we have received. May our relationships with others demonstrate the profound impact that being “with Jesus” has had on us.

In closing, dear Lord, we ask that You would embolden us in our daily walks, urging us to step out of our comfort zones and into the call You have placed upon us. May we become unfettered by the judgments of this world and fully embraced by Your purpose. Thank You for the promise that wherever we go, You are with us.
