Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, recognizing Your supreme authority and the abundance of blessings You have poured into our lives. As we meditate upon the words of Deuteronomy 14:28, "At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates," we reflect on the significance of giving back to You what is rightfully Yours. Lord, we acknowledge that every good gift, every blessing, and every increase in our lives comes from Your loving hand. It is with humility that we approach You, recognizing our role as stewards of the resources that You have entrusted to us.

Father, as we contemplate the principle of tithing, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom. Help us to embrace this practice not out of obligation but as a joyful response to Your generosity. May we understand that by bringing forth our tithe, we are not merely fulfilling a duty, but we are engaging in an act of worship and gratitude. Teach us that our contributions are not just about finances; they are a reflection of our hearts and priorities. Enable us to see tithing as an opportunity to participate in the work of the Kingdom, advancing Your mission on earth and contributing to the needs of others.

Lord, instill within us a spirit of generosity. As we look at our lives, reveal to us the many ways You have increased our resources. Whether through our jobs, relationships, or even unexpected blessings, may our first response be one of thankfulness and offering. Help us to remember that the tithe is a representation of our faith in You—that when we give, we trust that You will provide for our needs. May we always be reminded of the words of Your Son, Jesus, who said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you" (Luke 6:38).

As we fulfill this command every third year, may we do so with integrity and purpose. Help us to understand the deeper meaning behind laying up our tithe within our gates. Teach us the importance of community and support, that our tithes are not just for personal gain, but for the strengthening of our local church and the upliftment of those in need. Let our giving reflect Your heart—a heart that cares for the orphan, the widow, and the stranger (Deuteronomy 14:29).

Lord, we also seek to cultivate a lifestyle of giving beyond the tithe. Inspire us to see abundance in sharing, not just in our finances, but in our time, talents, and resources. May we grow in our understanding of stewardship as a holistic practice, where we honor You with our entire lives. Challenge us to look beyond ourselves and notice the needs around us, responding with compassion and generosity. Give us courage to step out in faith, trusting that as we give, we will continue to receive from You.

We pray for our local churches, ministries, and organizations that are often the hands and feet of Your work in the world. May our tithes and offerings support their endeavors, promote outreach, and enhance the spreading of Your gospel. Teach us to hold our resources lightly, knowing they are gifts from You, meant to be shared for Your glory.

Finally, Father, as we embrace this act of obedience, may it deepen our relationship with You. Let it remind us of Your faithfulness and provision. May our hearts swell with joy every time we bring forth our tithe, knowing that we are part of something much larger than ourselves. May we experience the joy of giving and the blessings that flow when we align our hearts with Yours.

In all that we do, Lord, may Jesus be our model of generosity. Help us to walk in His ways, as we strive to be cheerful givers of what You have generously provided.
