A Prayer for Divine Favor and Grace
"And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti." - Esther 2:17

Esther 2:17 - "And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti."
Heavenly Father,
In the quiet of this moment, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude and reverence, seeking Your presence and guidance. Lord, I am reminded of the beautiful story in the Book of Esther, particularly Esther 2:17, which recounts how "the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti."
Oh God, what majesty lies in Your plans! Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts. I thank You for the story of Esther, who, through Your divine favor, was elevated to a position that changed the course of history for her people. Lord, I ask that You grant me the same grace and favor that You bestowed upon Esther. Help me to embrace the beauty of Your design in my life, even when it seems unfathomable.
As I reflect on this powerful verse, I pray for Your loving kindness to envelop me, just as it did Esther. May I walk in obedience, humility, and courage. Teach me to trust in Your timing, just as Esther patiently awaited her moment to intercede for her people. Lord, remind me that, like Esther, I am placed in a position for such a time as this (Esther 4:14). Let me never lose sight of my purpose as I navigate through challenges and opportunities that life presents.
O Lord, grant me the wisdom to recognize divine opportunities and the strength to act upon them. Give me the courage, like Esther, to present myself before the king of kings, knowing that I am accepted in the Beloved. May Your grace be manifest in my life in such a way that those around me see Your favor shining through me. Just as Esther captured the heart of King Ahasuerus, may my life reflect a sweet aroma of love, dignity, and grace that draws others to You.
As I aspire to reach heights of influence and responsibility, I humbly submit all my aspirations to Your will. Fill my heart with a holy confidence that knows I stand in Your favor, no matter the giants I may face. Lord, I pray that You align my heart with Your purpose, that I may seek to serve others selflessly. Just like Esther, help me to prepare my heart to speak truth boldly—even when it is difficult.
I lift up the rulers and leaders of my nation, Lord. Just as You appointed Esther as queen, I ask that You raise up godly individuals in positions of influence—those who will act with wisdom, integrity, and compassion. May they seek Your counsel and lead by Your principles, impacting lives for Your glory.
Finally, Lord, I pray for those who feel they are without favor or grace today. For those who feel unseen or insignificant, I ask that You shower them with Your love and affirmation. Let them know they are cherished and valued in Your eyes. May they find comfort in knowing that Your plans for them are never for harm but for a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
In all things, I trust in Your sovereign hand, knowing that every step is guided by Your wisdom. Let my life be a testimony of Your greatness, and may it bring honor to Your name. Thank You, Father, for Your grace and favor in our lives.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray,
Amen.
