A Prayer for Wisdom and Collaboration in Our God-Given Tasks
"And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee;" - Exodus 31:6

Heavenly Father,
As we gather our thoughts and hearts in Your presence today, we come with a deep sense of gratitude for Your unfailing wisdom and guidance in our lives. We reflect on the profound words of Exodus 31:6, where You speak of Aholiab and the wisdom that You have placed in the hearts of the wise-hearted. "And I, behold, I have given with him Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan: and in the hearts of all that are wise hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee." Lord, we are humbled by the truth that Your divine plans are always accompanied by provision and partnership.
Father, we acknowledge that You are the source of all wisdom. As we navigate the trials and tribulations of our daily lives, may we always seek to build our understanding upon the foundation of Your sacred words. Just as You equipped Aholiab with wisdom alongside Bezalel, we pray that You lead us to those whom You have appointed in our lives—those who can support and collaborate with us in fulfilling the plans You have ordained. May we be mindful of the importance of community and shared purpose as we pursue the works You have set before us.
Lord, grant us the spirit of wisdom and revelation, as stated in Ephesians 1:17, that we may know You better. Fill us with Your Spirit, just as You filled the craftsmen in the days of Moses, enabling them to perform their tasks with skill and creativity. It is our sincere desire to create, to serve, and to lead with the wisdom that only comes from You. In every endeavor that we undertake, we seek Your guidance first, asking that You reveal Your heart and intentions to us.
As we reflect on our gifts and talents, we also recognize that we are not meant to operate in isolation. Help us to cultivate healthy relationships based on trust, respect, and love. Show us how to be Aholiab to those around us, offering our support and encouragement as they exercise their unique gifts for Your glory. Let us come together, united in purpose, to build something beautiful for You and in service to those around us. In a world that often promotes individualism, may we stand as an example of the power of collaboration and unity.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You open our eyes to the wisdom that resides in our brothers and sisters. Help us to listen attentively and to be willing to learn from one another. Instill in us a humble heart, ready to receive corrections and perspectives that might enhance our understanding. As Your Word teaches us in Proverbs 2:6, “For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.” We pray that in our collaborative work, Your voice is prominent and Your truth is established in every decision we make.
We also bring before You the burdens that we carry, the responsibilities that seem overwhelming. Through Your Spirit, grant us the ability to discern which tasks are truly from You—those that reflect Your will and purpose for our lives. May we not be bogged down by distractions but be focused on executing Your commands with excellence and integrity. As we work diligently, may our efforts result in a manifestation of Your glory on earth.
Finally, Lord, we commit our intentions and actions to You. We desire that every project we embark upon not only fulfills practical needs but also serves as an act of worship to honor Your holy name. Empower us, inspire us, and lead us in paths of righteousness as we strive to create according to Your blueprint. In unity with the wise-hearted individuals You have placed in our lives, may we fulfill all that You have commanded us, reflecting Your glory in everything we do.
We express our deepest thanks for being our guide and source of strength, and we humbly seek Your wisdom afresh today.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
