"And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy." - Exodus 33:19

O Sovereign Lord,

I come before Thy holy presence with a humble heart, longing to behold the fullness of Thy goodness and mercy as proclaimed in Exodus 33:19. In Your Word, You declared, ‘And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.’ O Lord, what a promise! A revelation of Your divine nature—a nature that pours forth goodness, grace, and mercy even amid our unworthiness.

Heavenly Father, I am in awe of Your majesty and the depth of Your character. As I ponder Your words, I feel a yearning deep within my spirit—a desire to experience the full measure of Your goodness. How often do I get caught up in the mundane worries of life, neglecting to witness the beauty of Your goodness that surrounds me? Open my eyes, O Lord, to see each blessing—big and small. Allow me to perceive the gentle whispers of Your grace in every sunrise, in every breath I take, and in the love of those around me.

Lord, I pray that You would let Your goodness pass before me daily. Help me to recognize that Your goodness is not merely an attribute, but Your very essence. As I seek Your face, may Your goodness transform my heart. Let Your love seep into the cracks of my brokenness, healing my wounds and delivering me from despair. May I be a vessel of Your goodness to this world, reflecting Your light in places overshadowed by darkness.

I ask that You would proclaim Your name before me, Lord—Your name that is above every name. Reveal to me the strength, the compassion, and the sovereignty wrapped up in Your name. Teach me to honor and revere Your name in my thoughts, words, and deeds. For it is Your name that provides refuge, hope, and salvation. As I meditate on Your greatness, instill within me a desire to glorify You, leading my life to be a testimony of Your magnanimity.

Gracious God, I acknowledge that Your grace is a gift I do not deserve. You have been gracious to me in ways that I often fail to recognize. When life’s burdens seem heavy, let me remember that Your grace is sufficient for me. Strengthen me in my weaknesses, and remind me that even the smallest moments of grace reflect Your grand design of love toward humanity. Teach me to extend this grace to others as You have extended it to me. Let me be gracious even when it is hard, for I have been infinitely blessed by Your hand.

As I contemplate the riches of Your mercy, I surrender my judgments and bitterness at Your feet. Help me to remember that mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13) and that there is no limit to Your compassion. When the world speaks of retribution, may I be the voice that advocates for forgiveness, reflecting Your heart in a broken world.

Lord, let Your mercy flow like a river within me, washing away the stains of the past and filling me anew each day. Remind me that there is always another chance to demonstrate love and grace, just as You have shown to me repeatedly.

Finally, I ask that You would imprint Your goodness, grace, and mercy upon my heart in such a way that I cannot help but share it with all I encounter. May I be a beacon of hope for those lost in despair, a conduit of Your blessings to those in need, and a source of encouragement to the weary.

As I draw closer to You, Lord, may I be transformed by this divine interaction, and may my life bear witness to the greatness of Your goodness and the depths of Your mercies. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
