A Prayer for Divine Wisdom and Teaching: Inspired by Exodus 35:34
"And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan." - Exodus 35:34

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts, praising Your holy name and acknowledging Your sovereignty over all creation. As we meditate on Your Word, particularly Exodus 35:34, we are reminded of the gifts and talents that You bestow upon us through the Holy Spirit. In Your divine wisdom, You have chosen men like Bezalel and Aholiab to fulfill Your purposes in the Tabernacle’s construction, equipping them not just with skills in craftsmanship, but also with the profound ability to teach others in the knowledge of those skills. Lord, we thank You for Your perfect plan and the way in which You equip those You call to serve.
Oh Lord, we plead with You today that You may draw near to us and implant within our hearts a desire to learn and to teach. Just as You put in Bezalel’s heart the ability to teach, we ask for Your Spirit to move among us, awakening in us the gift of instruction. Father, instill in us a passion for knowledge, a thirst for understanding, and a dedication to sharing that wisdom with others.
Lord, we recognize that teaching is not merely a transfer of information but a sacred act where hearts can be transformed and lives can be changed. We desire, as Your faithful disciples, to impart truth as instructed by Your Word, enabling others to grow in their faith and in their abilities. May we reflect Your glory in how we educate, mentor, and encourage others in their journeys of discovery.
Father in heaven, we also think of the role of collaboration in ministry. Just as You united Bezalel and Aholiab from different backgrounds and tribes to accomplish Your work, we pray for unity among us, Your children. Help us to embrace the differences in our experiences and perspectives. Teach us to work together harmoniously, recognizing that through collective effort, we can enhance each other’s gifts and produce a more profound impact in our communities.
We ask for Your blessings upon those who have been called to teach, be it in our churches, schools, or families. May they be filled with Your Spirit like Bezalel, equipped with understanding, wisdom, and special talents needed to fulfill their calling. Help them, Lord, to inspire their students just as Aholiab encouraged and shared his talents. May they lead by example, showing patience, kindness, and the pursuit of excellence, igniting a spark of curiosity in every learner they encounter.
Heavenly Father, we recognize that teaching also requires humility. We pray that as we seek to impart knowledge, we may do so not from a place of arrogance or superiority, but rather, with a heart willing to serve others and an openness to learn ourselves. Let us remember that even the most learned among us can still grow in understanding, and each person we teach has something unique to offer.
Lord, guide us with Your wisdom in our educational endeavors – be it spiritual, practical, or professional. May our teaching echo that which You have instructed us, and may Your Word flow freely through us as we guide others to know You more deeply. May Your Spirit lead our conversations, and may our actions reflect Your love, grace, and truth.
Finally, we submit ourselves to Your will, trusting that You will use us as instruments of Your glory. Help us to remain steadfast in our commitment to teaching and serving others, knowing that we do not work alone, but in partnership with You and our fellow believers.
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
