In Exodus 39:8, it is written, "And he made the breastplate of cunning work, like the work of the ephod; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen." Lord, as we reflect on this verse, let us marvel at the beauty and significance of Your instruction. The breastplate, a symbol of Your covenant with the people, reflects not only the dedication of the craftsmen but also the importance of every detail in our relationship with You.

Shield our hearts and minds, Lord, as You led the Israelites by guiding them with the breastplate of the high priest, which bore the names of the children of Israel on his heart. Let us always remember that we are known and loved by You, and that our names are written in the Book of Life.
