A Prayer for Deliverance from Trials
"And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?" - Exodus 8:9

O Sovereign Lord, in the midst of turmoil and trials, I come before You with a humble heart, echoing the words of Your servant Moses who stood before Pharaoh in a time of oppression and suffering. Just as Moses cried out, “Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?” (Exodus 8:9 KJV), I, too, seek Your glory and Your intervention in my life and in the trials that burden my heart.
Lord, as I reflect on the plight of Pharaoh and the affliction of the people of Egypt, I recognize the weight of sin and the consequences it brings. The frogs, a sign of Your power and might, became a source of despair and distress. I beseech You, dear God, to look upon me in my struggles. Help me to understand the areas in my life where I, too, may be like Pharaoh, holding stubbornly to my pride or resisting Your will, even when faced with the evidence of Your everlasting truth.
Mighty God, I pray for the wisdom to know when it is time to surrender my stubbornness and seek Your help. Pharaoh had the chance to plead with Moses, to acknowledge the need for Your mercy. Help me, Lord, to be quick to acknowledge my needs before You. Teach me not to delay the help that only You can provide. When I find myself surrounded by the trials that seem overwhelming, let me come directly to You, as Moses did, and find in You refuge and peace.
In the spiritual realm, I recognize that we can be surrounded by many burdens and burdensome conditions—relationships strained, health challenges, financial distress, or temptations that croak incessantly in our ears, calling us to despair. Yet, like Moses who interceded for the people, I pray for the strength to intercede for myself and for others. May my prayers rise like incense before You, pleading for the removal of these afflictions, that we may live in the light of Your love and provision.
God of the Universe, I plead for Your transformative power to enter the darkest corners of my heart and the hearts of those around me. I pray for divine intervention in every situation where I feel trapped or overwhelmed. As Moses sought to have the frogs removed from Egypt, I ask for Your hand to take away the challenges that plague my spirit and trouble my mind. Let not the frogs of worry, strife, and doubt overrun my life any longer. Allow me to experience the release of Your comfortable embrace.
As I meditate on this passage, I am reminded of Your desire for us to call upon You, to converse with You as one would with a trusted friend. I lay before You my burdens, Lord. I ask that You would not only deliver me from these pressing problems but also reveal Your glory throughout the process. May my life become a testimony of Your grace and mercy.
In unity with all believers, I ask for strength and hope for those who carry heavy loads. May we all rise together, lifted by faith in Your ability to bring about justice and peace in times of trouble. Let us never forget the importance of intreating for one another, just as Moses interceded, reminding us that we ought to bear one another's burdens, reflecting the love of Christ.
As we pray for deliverance, I also pray for a heart of gratitude that acknowledges Your past blessings and looks forward to the glories You have in store for us. Thank You for hearing my cries, and thank You for the victories that are yet to come. May I remain steadfast, trusting in Your perfect timing, and may Your name be glorified above all.
In the precious Name of Jesus, the ultimate intercessor, I pray, Amen.
