A Prayer for Divine Presence and Glory
"And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above." - Ezekiel 10:19

Heavenly Father,
As we come before You today, we are reminded of the profound reality of Your presence, as illustrated in the vision of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 10:19, we read, "And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above."
Lord, we open our hearts to You, acknowledging that You are the one who transcends all space and time, the Creator of the universe, and the living God whose glory fills the heavens. Just as the cherubims lifted up their wings, we, too, desire to lift our lives before You, yearning for Your divine elevation and the ability to soar above our earthly troubles.
Father, allow us to mount up with wings as eagles, as written in Isaiah 40:31, and help us to find rest in the assurance of Your guiding hand. We ask that You would awaken in us a deeper understanding of Your glory. May we recognize that in every season of our lives, Your glory hovers, waiting to envelop us in love, peace, and strength.
As the wheels were beside the cherubims, we pray for the constant movement of Your Spirit in our lives. We are reminded that the wheels symbolize the divine activity and the ever-present guidance of Your will. Guide us, Lord, as we navigate the complexities of life. Help us to notice the subtle ways You guide us; may we be sensitive to Your whispers and discerning of Your direction, eager to follow Your path as it unfolds before us.
Oh Lord, we stand at the door of our hearts, desiring to invite Your presence into every crevice of our being. We yearn for the glory of the God of Israel to surround us, just as it surrounded the cherubims at the east gate. May we experience the magnitude of Your glory that enlightens our minds, strengthens our hearts, and fortifies our spirits.
In this modern world, where distractions are abundant and our faith may feel feeble, we ask for a fresh revelation of Your kindness and a renewal of our hope. Remind us that Your glory is not just a concept within sacred scripture but an active presence in our lives today.
Help us to see every challenge as an opportunity to experience Your glory. When we are beset by difficulties, remind us that even in the midst of trials, You surround us with Your presence. May our struggles become the soil in which Your glorious presence takes root, flourishing within us and impacting those around us.
Lord, we draw inspiration from the image of the cherubims. They are guardians of Your throne, blessed and entrusted with Your presence. We long for that intimacy with You, that closeness which ignites our hearts with passion and fervor for Your purposes. May we follow their example, ever ready to ascend into deeper realms of praise and worship, mounting up in adoration of who You are.
As we daily seek You, may we reflect Your glory in our conversations, actions, and interactions. Let our lives be a mirror of Your grace and love. Teach us to live in a manner worthy of our calling, remembering that we are ambassadors of Christ, entrusted with the message of reconciliation.
In all things, Father, may we bring glory to Your name. As we pray in Your presence, we trust that just as the glory of God enveloped the cherubims, so too shall Your glory envelop us, transforming our hearts and lighting our way.
In the glorious name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
