A Prayer of Gathering and Restoration
"Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." - Ezekiel 11:17

O Sovereign Lord, we come before Your throne of grace, acknowledging the depth of Your wisdom and the magnitude of Your love. In this moment of quiet reflection, we are reminded of the powerful words spoken through Your prophet Ezekiel, who conveyed the message directly from Your heart. As it is written in Ezekiel 11:17 (KJV), "Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel."
Heavenly Father, we celebrate the promise of gathering that You have bestowed upon Your people. Your intention is clear: You desire unity among Your followers, drawing us together from the far corners of the earth, where distress and division have taken root. Lord, as you gather us, impart upon us Your spirit of togetherness, that we may recognize one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, even if our paths differ.
Lord, as we reflect on the scattering mentioned in Your Word, we acknowledge the times when we have found ourselves separated from one another, whether through sin, misunderstanding, or the trials and tribulations of life. We have witnessed families torn apart, communities fractured, and nations in conflict. We confess our shortcomings in maintaining relationships and fostering peace. Yet, in the midst of our failings, Your voice rings true, promising restoration and reunion.
Gracious God, as You gather us, let us first come to You. Help us to turn our hearts back to Your ways, to seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness above all else. In our divisions, may we find the humility to approach our differences with grace, to engage in dialogue that seeks understanding, and to build bridges over the chasms of misunderstanding.
Guide us, Lord, in our efforts to reach out to those who have been scattered, just as You have continually reached out to us. Create in us a compassionate spirit, a burning desire to witness to the Gospel of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that all may come to know salvation, regardless of their history or heritage.
Father, in Your promise to gather, You also give us the land of Israel. In the heart of this land lies profound significance—You chose this land to be a home for Your people, a place where they could dwell in safety, worship in freedom, and flourish as a community united by faith. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel, knowing that in Your divine orchestration, it is not merely a piece of geography, but a holy promise fulfilled.
We earnestly beseech You, Lord, to bring about peace in this land amid conflict and strife. We long for a time when swords are turned into plowshares, and love overcomes enmity. May the hearts of all people in those lands be softened to receive the message of grace and reconciliation through Christ Jesus.
As we await the fulfillment of Your promises, let us not be passive spectators. Inspire us to be active participants in this divine gathering, to reach out in fellowship and support to those who are far off, to be bearers of Your light in a world that often dwells in darkness.
Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the assurance that although we may be scattered, we are never lost to You. You call us by name, and Your love never ceases. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
