O Sovereign Lord, God of our fathers and creator of all that is good and holy, I come before You today with a humble heart, seeking Your mercy and grace. Your words in Ezekiel 20:21 resonate deeply within my spirit, reminding me of the rebellion of the children of Israel against Your statutes. "Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness." Lord, these words highlight the human condition—the tendency to turn away from Your ways, to neglect the commandments that lead to life, and to profane Your sacred times.

I acknowledge, O Lord, that too often I have walked in my own understanding, choosing paths that seemed right in my own eyes but led me away from You. Forgive me, Father, for the moments I have neglected Your statutes and judged Your commandments as burdensome rather than as treasures. I repent of the times I have failed to observe Your sabbaths, failing to set aside time to rest in Your presence and to honor the sacred time given to us to reconnect with You.

O God, I plead for Your forgiveness, not just for myself, but for our communities and nations that have turned their backs on You. In our pursuit of worldly gains and pleasures, we have diluted our devotion to You. We have polluted the sanctity of all that You hold dear. Help us, Lord, to recognize our ways that stray from Your teachings. Let us not be a generation that provokes Your anger but one that seeks Your heart.

May Your spirit of conviction fall upon us, bringing to light the areas in our lives where we have rebelled. Show us how we have walked in rebellion not just against Your laws but against the love and grace You offer us daily. Help us to see the weight of our transgressions and the sorrow that it brings You, our loving Father.

As we reflect upon Your words, may we understand the gravity of how "if a man do [Your statutes], he shall even live in them." This is not merely a statement of the physical, but a promise of spiritual vitality. Your commandments are not just rules; they are the pathways to life itself. I ask You, Lord, to instill in my heart, and in the hearts of others, a deep desire to follow Your laws—not out of obligation, but out of love and reverence for the One who knows what is best for us.

Lord, I beseech You to pour out Your grace upon our land. In times of disobedience, Your fury is just, but may we find intercession in Your mercy.
