O Sovereign Lord, our Mighty God and Eternal King, we come before You today with hearts heavy and humble, seeking Your face and yearning to understand the depths of Your ways. As we reflect on the words of Ezekiel 25:6, "For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;" we recognize the profound significance of our actions, our attitude, and the heart behind every gesture we express.

Gracious Father, we acknowledge that the land of Israel is Your chosen land, a place where You have revealed Your promises and made Your covenant with Your people. You have watched over it through the ages and have poured out Your blessings upon this sacred soil. Yet, Lord, we see the signs of division and discord that have plagued Your people throughout history. We recognize that every time we take delight in the suffering of others or rejoice in their downfall, we move further away from Your heart and purpose.

We start by asking for Your forgiveness, Lord. Forgive us for the times we have clapped our hands in celebration at the misfortunes of even our enemies or those who may oppose us. Forgive us for the moments we have stamped our feet in anger and frustration rather than seeking to understand, empathize, and restore. Lord, forgive the times we have taken joy in discord, for in those moments we have allowed bitterness to take root and overshadow the commandment to love our neighbor.

Heavenly Father, we implore You to purify our hearts and renew a right spirit within us. Help us to recognize the power of our emotions and our actions, and guide us to respond with grace, compassion, and love in all situations. May our hearts align with Yours, rejoicing not in the downfall of others, but in the restoration and healing You desire for all Your creation.

As we relate this scripture to our current events and our world, we pray for peace upon the lands that know strife and conflict. We see how many gloat with malicious delight over the struggles of nations, families, and individuals. We ask that You silence the voices that fuel division and strife. Avert our eyes, Lord, from the trivial battles that stir our hearts to rejoice not in the well-being of others, but in a destructive sense of superiority.

Almighty God, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel. Your word assures us that blessed are those who work for peace. We lift our voices in prayer for unity, reconciliation, and understanding among all peoples. Stir up within us a desire for justice grounded in Your righteous ways and a compassion that extends beyond borders and denominations.

May our communities be marked by love, not strife. Allow us, Lord, to build bridges instead of walls, as we remember the importance of solidarity in our human experience. Less of our pride and disdain, and more of Your love and grace, Lord, let this be our prayer. Learning from the lessons of history, may we build futures that reflect hope and healing.

O God, we entrust our concerns into Your capable hands. Remove the bitterness from our hearts that would rejoice at any soul's despair. Replace it with empathy, humility, and a burning desire to see all people thrive under Your grace. Help us to be instruments of Your peace and advocates for justice in a world that so desperately needs it.

In Your mighty name, we pray, believing in the power of Your saving grace that can restore not only nations but hearts, families, and communities. Amen.
