O Sovereign Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth, the One who knows the hearts of man and sees all that takes place in the earth, we come before You, humbly bowing our heads and acknowledging Your great power and authority. As we gather in Your presence, we remember the words of Your prophet Ezekiel, who was called to be Your mouthpiece to the nations. In Ezekiel 35:2, You commanded him, "Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it."

In this moment, Lord, we seek to understand the significance of this command and how it applies to our lives and our world today. Mount Seir represents not just a physical location, but a symbol of opposition against Your people, a stronghold of pride and rebellion that stands in defiance of Your will. It represents a legacy of enmity, a place that has sought to rise against Your chosen ones, and to that we say, O Lord, we stand against every mount of Seir in our lives, our communities, and our nations.

We recognize that just as Ezekiel was set to prophesy against the wickedness of Seir, we too are called to confront the strongholds that seek to rise up against us. We pray, Almighty God, that You would give us the spirit of Your prophet, that we too may set our faces against the mountains of idolatry, division, and injustice within our spheres of influence. Equip us with Your words, Lord, as we declare truth against the lies of the enemy, courage against fear, hope against despair.

O Lord, we pray for discernment to identify the ‘mounts of Seir’ in our own lives. Whether they manifest as personal struggle or collective strife, give us the vision to see and the strength to speak out against them. Help us to set our faces resolutely against every form of darkness that seeks to cloud our judgment or blind our eyes to Your righteousness. We commit to standing in faith against the strongholds of greed, hatred, and pride that enslave our world.

Lord, grant us the boldness to prophesy against every mountain we encounter. As we declare Your truth, may Your Spirit break down those barriers erected by the enemy—barriers of hate, misunderstanding, and division—so Your peace may reign. May we not shy away from difficult truths, but rather be emboldened to speak Your Word. Forgive us for the times we have remained silent or failed to stand firm.

We ask You, Father, to raise up prophets in our midst who will speak Your truth and guide us back to You. May we all embrace our roles as prophetic voices, whether in prayer, in counsel, or in social action. Instill in us a fervent desire to pursue justice, mercy, and humility. Like Ezekiel, let us be unyielding in our mission, that we may faithfully prophesy truth into our families, communities, and nations.

We also lift up all those who find themselves in the valley of the shadow of death, overshadowed by their own mount of Seir. Lord, bring comfort to those who face hardship and despair. Lift their eyes off their mountains, and help them to see You, the One who can move mountains. Let them find hope in the truth that no obstacle is too great for You to overcome.

In closing, Lord, we commit ourselves to this sacred task. We set our faces against all that opposes Your will and defies Your name. May Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. So we pray, believing and trusting that You will fulfill Your promises and bring down every mount of Seir that stands against us. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
