A Prayer of Dedication and Surrender in Response to Ezekiel 48:20
"All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city." - Ezekiel 48:20

Heavenly Father,
As I approach your throne of grace today, I humbly acknowledge Your sovereignty over all creation, and particularly over the lives of Your people. In Ezekiel 48:20, Your Word declares, "All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city." Lord, I take this moment to reflect on the significance of this scripture, and I come before You with gratitude and reverence.
Father, I understand that this passage speaks of a time of restoration, a covenant filled with promise where Your people were to offer their gifts and service in a measure that reflects Your greatness and holiness. Teach me, O Lord, to embrace the calling to be part of this holy oblation, to live my life in a way that presents a square measure of my love and dedication to You.
I thank You for the way You have provided, by shaping the land and the hearts of Your people, to bring us into a place where we can offer back to You the abundance we have received. Lord, I recognize that every good gift and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17), and I seek to offer my life as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto You, which is my reasonable service (Romans 12:1).
As I delve deeper into the meaning of this holy oblation, I ask You to help me comprehend the depth of its implications in my own life. Help me to understand how the offering of twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand signifies completeness and wholeness in my relationship with You. Every square inch of my life belongs to You, Lord, and I pray for the strength to lay down every corner of my heart where shadows may still linger.
Lord God, I come before You today, recognizing that my life reflects the possession of the city—this city that You have established in my heart and in my community. I pray that my oblations—a symbol of my dedication and love towards You—may also reach into my surroundings. May the fruit of my labor, the labor of love, reach beyond me, nourishing and bringing life and hope to others in this city. Let my offerings spring forth the manifestation of Your presence, so that all may witness Your goodness and mercy.
I offer my struggles and victories, my dreams and burdens at the altar of Your grace. I surrender my ambitions that are not aligned with Your will. Help me to discern what part of my ambitions align with the divine purposes You have for me. In doing so, I will be able to measure my life accurately, living it out in integrity and harmony with Your will, reflecting the four corners of Your covenant promise.
I pray for a deeper understanding of sacrifice and the transformative power of offering whatever is sacred in my life—whether it is my time, talents, or treasure. May I not shy away from giving of myself fully, for I know that an oblation that is pleasing to You emanates from a heart that loves sacrificially. Create within me a clean heart, O Lord, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10), that I may present my offerings with pure motives.
Most importantly, Lord, I seek Your guidance for the path ahead. Help me to continually assess the investments I make in my spiritual life, my relationships, and my community. Enable me to be a wise steward of the gifts and resources You have placed within my hands. Let me always remember that as I invest in Your kingdom, You multiply the impact of my oblations beyond what I can fathom.
In closing, I thank You for allowing me to be part of Your grand design, where my offerings are woven into the tapestry of Your love and grace. While I may feel small at times, remind me that my contributions are significant in Your eyes. As I strive to be a faithful steward of the holy oblation You call for, I trust in Your promises and find peace in Your unfailing love.
In Jesus’ most precious name, I pray. Amen.
