A Prayer for Prosperity and Favor in Our Lives
"The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand. And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field. And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat." - Genesis 39:2-6

O Lord God, Almighty and Everlasting Father, we stand before You today with hearts full of gratitude for Your unending love and faithfulness. As we reflect on the life of Joseph, a man who endured trials and tribulations yet remained steadfast in faith, we draw inspiration from Genesis 39:2-6, which reminds us that, "The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian."
We come before You, Lord, acknowledging that Your presence is the source of true prosperity. Just as You were with Joseph, we pray that Your divine presence envelops our lives. We seek Your companionship in every moment, in every decision, and in every circumstance. We desire to be filled with Your Spirit so that everything we touch may prosper in accordance with Your will.
Father, we recognize that it is not solely through our efforts that we prosper, but through Your blessing upon our endeavors. Let us be like Joseph—men and women of integrity and wisdom who, through our actions, manifest Your favor to those around us. May our lives bear witness to Your greatness, and may those who interact with us know that it is by Your grace that we can accomplish all that we undertake.
As Joseph found grace in his master's sight, we seek Your grace to be evident in our lives as well. We ask that You set before us opportunities that lead to favor and that You open doors that no man can close. Surround us, Lord, with individuals who recognize our potential and elevate us in their sight. Help us to serve faithfully and with excellence, so that others might see Your light shining in us.
Lord, as Joseph became overseer in his master's house, we pray for positions of influence and responsibility in our lives. Whether in our workplaces, communities, or families, may we serve with diligence, always reflecting the values of Your Kingdom. Grant us the wisdom to manage what is entrusted to us, knowing that everything we have is a gift from You.
We acknowledge that prosperity does not only pertain to material wealth, but encompasses our hearts and minds, our relationships and our spiritual wellbeing. Lord, bless our homes and the endeavors of our hands. Let Your abundant blessings overflow in our lives so that we can be vessels of generosity to others. May we be aware that as You bless us, it is for the purpose of blessing those around us.
As we meditate on Your Word and the testimony of Joseph, we remember that Your blessings can impact not only our lives but those around us, as seen in the words, "the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field." We ask for this ripple effect of blessings to be evident in our communities as we step out in faith.
Father, help us to be stewards of Your grace, just as Joseph was entrusted with the Egyptian's household. May we inspire trust in others, knowing our role carries significant weight in how You choose to bless those we encounter. We pray that nothing goes unnoticed in our stewardship, and that we surrender all things into Your hands, allowing You to guide our every step.
In closing, we thank You, Lord, for the promises found in Your Word. We cling to the truth that when You are with us, we can thrive amidst challenges. Help us to be persistent and faithful like Joseph, remembering that Your presence is our greatest treasure. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Genesis 39:2-6 - "The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potipar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potipar had, both in the house and in the field. So Potipar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate."
