Heavenly Father,

We bow our hearts before You today, reflecting on the profound truth captured in Genesis 50:18: "And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants." Lord, we come before You with a spirit of humility, recognizing the depth of love and reconciliation exhibited in this moment between Joseph and his brothers. We acknowledge the weight of their actions as they humbled themselves before him, understanding that they had wronged him and were seeking forgiveness and acceptance.

Father, in our lives, we often find ourselves in situations where we must confront our past mistakes, just as Joseph's brothers did. Help us, O Lord, to approach such situations with a heart full of humility, ready to admit our failures and seek reconciliation. Teach us the value of humility—how it fosters forgiveness, heals wounds, and restores relationships. May we learn from the example of these brothers who, in their time of desperation, chose to fall down in humility before Joseph, recognizing him not merely as a brother, but as a figure of authority and mercy.

We pray for the strength to exercise humility in our daily encounters. In a world that often promotes pride and self-exaltation, let us take inspiration from Joseph’s brothers, who understood the need to submit and acknowledge their mistakes. Help us to be quick to admit when we are wrong and slow to anger when we are confronted with the truth.

Lord, just as Joseph’s brothers came to him in their hour of need, we ask that we may also find the courage to seek help and forgiveness from those we have wronged. Give us the grace that allows us to put our pride aside and seek reconciliation. May we approach others with a heart wanting to serve, as they did, acknowledging their worth and the dignity of our shared humanity.

God of mercy, we also reflect on Joseph's heart in this narrative. Rather than seeking revenge, he embraced his brothers with love and forgiveness. Instill this same spirit within us, that we may become conduits of Your grace in our relationships. Help us to mirror Joseph’s ability to offer forgiveness, compassion, and understanding—even when we have been wronged. Remind us, Father, that our worth is not found in our past mistakes, but in the love and acceptance that You provide.

As we pray for our hearts to be transformed, we also bring before You those who owe us apologies—those who have wronged us. Heal our hearts from any pain caused by their actions. Teach us how to truly forgive, just as Joseph forgave his brothers. Allow us to let go of resentment, replacing it with compassion and the desire for reconciliation.

Lord, let the spirit of service permeate our lives. With each interaction, may we carry the attitude of servanthood, much like Joseph's brothers who proclaimed, "Behold, we be thy servants." Yet, let us remember that servanthood is not a sign of weakness; it is a reflection of Your heart. Help us to serve with joy and sincerity, understanding that in serving others, we serve You.
