Bold Access to the Holiest: A Prayer of Thanksgiving and Affirmation

"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;" - Hebrews 10:19-20

"Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;" - Hebrews 10:{verse.verse_number}

Heavenly Father,

We come before Your majestic throne today with hearts full of gratitude and joy, emboldened by the precious sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, as Your Word in Hebrews 10:19-20 declares, "Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh," we reflect deeply on the magnitude of this truth and its profound implications for our lives.

O gracious God, we thank You for the incredible access we now have to Your presence. In the Old Covenant, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies, and even then, only once a year, after making atonement for his own sins and those of the people. Lord, we are humbled by the reality that Jesus, our great High Priest, has torn down that veil through His flesh, granting us free and confident access to You, the Most Holy. What a privilege it is to stand before You, unashamed and free, clothed in the righteousness of Christ. Help us to fully appreciate this access and let it shape the way we approach You daily.

We acknowledge that it is by the blood of Jesus that we are justified, redeemed, and reconciled unto You. Lord, we come to You with boldness not based on our own merit, but solely on the loving sacrifice of Jesus. His blood speaks a better word than our failures and our shortcomings. It cries out: "Forgiven! Accepted! Beloved!" We rejoice in the assurance that no longer do we need to hide or cower in fear, but rather we can approach You with confidence, taking hold of the grace that You so freely offer.

Father, as we enter into the Holiest of Holies, we seek Your face with sincerity and a humble heart. May our prayers rise as incense before You, reaching Your ears with earnestness and our deep longing for Your presence. We pray that You cleanse our hearts and minds of all distractions and contrary thoughts that would seek to undermine our communion with You. We desire to draw near to You and be transformed in the process, reflecting the character of Christ in every aspect of our lives.

Lord, help us to embrace this ‘new and living way’ that Jesus has inaugurated for us. It is a way that is characterized not by ritualistic practices, but by a vibrant, dynamic relationship with You. We desire to walk in the fullness of life that He came to give us. Teach us to abide in Him so that His words abide in us. Let our lives be manifestations of Your love, grace, and truth, as we navigate through this world with our eyes fixed on eternity.

We intercede for those who have yet to discover this access. May they experience the power of the gospel that reconciles and redeems. Use us as vessels to share this transformative message with the lost and weary souls around us. We pray that the veil that blinds them may be lifted, allowing them to see the loving invitation extended by Christ to come and find rest in You.

As we stand in Your presence, we confess our need for You, Lord. We acknowledge that without You, we can do nothing. Strengthen our faith as we walk this journey, and help us to remember that we have boldness to enter into the Holiest because of Your great mercy and love. Thank You, Lord, for this incredible truth and for granting us a place in Your heart.

We lift our prayers to You in the mighty name of Jesus, who makes it all possible.

Amen.
