As we meditate on the profound truth of Hebrews 11:22, “By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones,” we seek to draw closer to You, asking for Your guidance and strength to emulate the incredible faith of Joseph, whose life was a testimony of unwavering belief in Your promises.

Father, Joseph’s final act of faith reminds us of the eternal impact we can have, even in death. He foresaw a future, not just for himself, but for the generations to come—the children of Israel. He trusted in Your promise to deliver his people from slavery, recognizing that his physical body would not remain in a land of captivity. Lord, let this serve as a lesson for us to uphold faith not only in our lives but also for those who will inherit the fruits of our faith. Help us to look beyond our own circumstances and envision a brighter future for our families, friends, and communities.

We ask You, O Lord, to instill in us a vision of the legacy we are creating. Just as Joseph prepared for the Exodus by instructing his brethren regarding his bones, may we also prepare spiritually and physically for the legacies we are building for those who will come after us.
