A Prayer of Surrender and Commitment
"And this will we do, if God permit." - Hebrews 6:3

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I humbly bow my heart in reverence and gratitude for Your unfailing grace and mercy. Thank You for the gift of life, the breath in my lungs, and the countless blessings You have poured upon me. In Your Holy Word, I find both comfort and challenge, and today I reflect on Hebrews 6:3, which says, "And this will we do, if God permit."
O Lord, I recognize that in all my plans, endeavors, and pursuits, it is ultimately Your will that prevails. I seek to align my heart and intentions with Your divine purpose. I acknowledge that my understanding is limited, and my vision for the future is often clouded by my desires and aspirations. Therefore, I come before You, surrendering my plans at Your feet, asking for Your wisdom and guidance as I seek to carry out the good works You have prepared for me.
Father, in each moment of my life, help me to live according to Your will. I pray for clarity and discernment as I navigate through decisions that affect not only my life but also those around me. Teach me to trust in Your timing, for I know that You are always working for my good, even when I cannot see the path ahead. Lead me to understand that, without Your permission, my efforts are like a house built on sand—temporary and unstable.
Lord, help me to exercise patience and perseverance. Too often, I find myself rushing into actions that may not be aligned with Your design for me. Guide me to slow down, to seek Your face, and to find peace in stillness. May I remember that the heart of man plans his ways, but it is the Lord that directs his steps. Let me not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, I shall reap if I do not lose heart.
As I reflect on this verse, I am reminded that my life’s purpose is rooted in Your plans. I pray that I may find courage to take steps of faith, believing that You will permit and bless my endeavors when they are in accordance with what You have ordained. May I not place my confidence in my own abilities, but rather in the assurance that You equip and empower those whom You call.
Father, as I prepare to embark on new ventures, help me to keep my heart steadfast and my eyes fixed on You. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, that I may be led by Your wisdom and strength each day. I pray for a spirit of humility, knowing it is by Your grace alone that I am able to accomplish anything. In my successes, let me not take the credit but always bring glory to Your name.
When trials arise, remind me that even in difficulty, I am not working alone. Let Your voice echo in my heart, saying, "Trust in Me, for I have given you this day, and I will provide Your every need." Help me to acknowledge the need for community, surrounding myself with those who encourage me and hold me accountable in faith.
As I surrender to Your will, I pray that my life becomes a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness. May I be a vessel through which Your love flows, impacting the lives of those I meet. Enable me to serve others in Your name, demonstrating the compassionate heart of Christ.
Finally, Lord, may I always remain open to where You lead me. I offer my life to You today, asking that You permit me to move forward in faith, trusting that You will bless what I undertake in Your name. Let Your will be done in me, today and always.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
