A Prayer for Protection and Awareness in the Face of Conspiracy

"But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered." - Jeremiah 11:19

"But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered." - Jeremiah 11:{verse.verse_number}

O Sovereign Lord, God of hosts, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, I come before You this day with my heart heavy, yet bold in faith, as I meditate on the profound words of Jeremiah 11:19: "But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered."

Heavenly Father, just as Jeremiah felt the weight of betrayal and the sting of deception, I too have experienced moments when I have felt unaware, blindsided by the plots of those who would seek to harm me or others. Lord, I lift my gaze to You, for You are my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust. In these moments of vulnerability, when the enemy seeks to steal my peace and suffocate my spirit, remind me to anchor my soul in You and Your promises.

I ask for a spirit of discernment, Lord. Help me to see the truth behind the smiles and words of those around me. Just as the lamb did not perceive its impending danger, I too have walked unwittingly into snares laid by cunning hearts. Open my eyes, Lord, to recognize the devices that are devised against me, for I know that my battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (

Ephesians 6:12). May Your Holy Spirit guide my footsteps, and guard my heart, that I may not easily be led astray.

Father, let Your wisdom be my guide and understanding be my companion. When you reveal the hearts of those who come as wolves in sheep's clothing, grant me the strength to respond with grace and wisdom. Teach me, O Lord, that it is not in my power but in Your sovereign hand that I find safety. Protect me from the schemes of those who wish to see my downfall, and fortify my spirit with courage and resilience.

Lord, as You did with Jeremiah, remind me of Your divine purpose for my life. Even when others conspire to cut me off, I trust that Your plans shall prevail. Help me to be rooted like a tree by the rivers of water, bringing forth the fruit of righteousness in every season (

Psalm 1:3). May nothing hinder the life You have called me to lead.

I pray for those who seek to destroy, that their hearts would be turned towards You. May they seek reconciliation instead of destruction, and find truth in Your Word. Let my response not be vengeance but a reflection of Your love and mercy. For in showing compassion, I may plant seeds of understanding and hope, which might, by Your grace, bring about transformation in their lives.

Father, I also pray for the community around me. Many live unaware of the dangers that lurk in the shadows, seeking to cut them off from joy and peace. May I be a voice of encouragement to others who feel like lambs headed to slaughter. Let my words carry the balm of Your truth, and let my actions reflect Your light in the darkest places.

As I reflect on the reality of being targeted, strengthen me to stand firm in Your love. Help me to remember that my life and my name are held securely in Your hands. That no plot of man can erase the purpose You have placed within me, for You are greater than all the schemes against me. I give You praise for Your unfailing protection and trust in Your unshakeable promises.

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
