A Prayer of Abundance and Gratitude

"Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing." - Judges 19:19

"Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing." - Judges 19:{verse.verse_number}

Heavenly Father,

As I come before Your throne today, my heart is full of gratitude for the abundance that You have provided. I reflect upon Your Word, in Judges 19:19, where it is written, "Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing." Lord, these words speak profoundly to the provisions You make for our needs—both those we are aware of and the many we take for granted.

Lord, I acknowledge that just like the travelers in the story of Judges, we often find ourselves in places of need and discomfort. We wander through the valleys of life's journey, facing uncertainties and challenges that could lead us to despair. Yet, in those moments of vulnerability, You remind us of Your unwavering faithfulness and care.

Father, I thank You for the straw and provender that You provide for the 'asses' in our lives—those burdens we bear that seem heavy at times. Just as the scripture illustrates the importance of provision for those humble creatures, I recognize the importance of caring for all aspects of life that can weigh heavily upon us. I ask for an abundance of strength, patience, and endurance to carry these burdens, understanding that they too have a purpose in Your divine plan.

As I reflect on the statement of no want, I am reminded that true abundance is not merely about physical sustenance. Yes, there is bread and wine, a representation of nourishment and joy. Therefore, I ask for Your divine intervention in my life and the lives of those I hold dear—may we find nourishment in our spirits, fulfillment in our hearts, and joy in our souls. Allow the bread of life to feed our hunger for love, peace, and community. As we partake in the wine, grant us the joy and gladness that come from being in fellowship with one another and, most importantly, with You.

Lord, help me to always remember that there is no want of any thing in Your Kingdom. When worries and fears try to cloud my heart, remind me of the blessings I have—even when I might overlook them. May I see Your hand in every meal shared, in every moment of laughter, and in every breath I take. I am grateful for the relationships that nourish my spirit—add the joy of connection to my life.

In moments of gratitude, let me share the bounty I have received with those around me. Teach me to be a generous heart, willing to share my provisions with the needy and the less fortunate. May my actions reflect the kindness and abundant love that You have shown me.

Help me to approach life with a heart that trusts in Your perfect provision. Guard against the distractions that lead me to worry about tomorrow. Teach me to embrace the present, demonstrating faith in Your ability to provide. In the trials of life, may I turn my eyes toward heaven, confident in Your promises that state I lack nothing.

Father, as I close this prayer, I rest in the assurance that You know my needs before I even ask. I trust in Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your plan. May my life be a testimony of abundance—a reflection of Your love and grace.

In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.
