O Lord God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, we come before You today with hearts humbled and minds focused on Your holy Word. As we meditate upon Leviticus 25:37, which teaches us that, "Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase," we are reminded of the profound principles of justice, mercy, and stewardship that You command in our lives.

Heavenly Father, we praise You for being the source of all that we have. You are our Provider, and every good and perfect gift comes from You. We acknowledge that everything belongs to You; our possessions, our finances, our sustenance, and our very lives. As we reflect on the verse, we recognize the importance of maintaining integrity in our dealings with one another, particularly in times of need and crisis.

Lord, in our world today, where greed often overshadows generosity, where profit is pursued at the expense of the vulnerable, we ask for Your forgiveness. Forgive us if we have at any point taken advantage of others for our gain, indulged in the spirit of usury, or placed burdens upon those who were already struggling. Help us, O God, to extend our hands to those in need without expecting anything in return. Teach us to lend not for our increase but to bless others with the resources that You have entrusted to us. Let our lives reflect Your compassion and kindness, illuminating the paths of those around us who may feel lost or oppressed.

Lord, may our hearts be free from the chains of hoarding and greed. Inspire us to embrace a spirit of giving, to invest in Your kingdom rather than our own expansion. Help us understand that lending without expectation of return is a kingdom principle, rooted deeply in love, not selfish ambition. Let us see beyond the material, valuing people over possessions, creates an environment where mercy triumphs over judgment.

As we navigate our personal and community finances, embolden us, Father, to speak against practices that lead to exploitation. Give us the courage to stand up for the voiceless and to reject systems that perpetuate poverty through interest and debt that enslaves rather than liberates. May we boldly advocate for fairness in our communities and honor those who work to bring about economic justice and relief.

Holy Spirit, be our guide in these matters. Conform our thoughts to align with Christ’s teachings on generosity and selflessness. Remind us continually that as we give to others, we are, in fact, lending to the Lord. Let this truth penetrate our hearts so that we may engage in acts of kindness that reflect Your grace, generosity, and mercy.
