A Prayer of Devotion and Total Commitment to the Lord
"Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD." - Leviticus 27:28

Heavenly Father,
As I come before Your holy presence today, I am reminded of Your Word in Leviticus 27:28, which declares, "Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD." I want to take this moment to reflect on the depth of this scripture, and to bring forth a prayer that resonates with my heart’s true commitment to You, O God.
Lord, in recognizing the great privilege of being able to devote my life and all that I possess unto You, I humbly bow before You. You have given me everything—my life, my skills, my time, my resources, and the relationships I cherish. All these gifts come from Your abundant grace, and I am eternally grateful. Yet, the scripture reminds me that they are not simply my own; they are Your provisions, to be used for Your glory. So today, I dedicate them back to You.
Father, I confess that it is easy to cling to my possessions, to think of them as my own. I seek Your forgiveness for those moments I have prioritized material wealth or personal gain over service to You. Your Word teaches us that every devoted thing is most holy unto the LORD. Hence, I bring forth my finances, my time, my talents, and my heart, laying them all at Your feet and devoting them wholly to Your use. Let my life be a sweet aroma of devotion, radiating Your love and grace to the world around me.
Help me, O Lord, to live with a giving heart that mirrors Your own. Instill within me the values of generosity and stewardship. May I see the beauty in surrendering not just my treasures but also my time and energy—my very life—into Your hands. I pray for the wisdom and discernment to understand the ways I can devote my resources for Your purpose, whether it be through ministry, acts of kindness, or caring for those less fortunate. Let my devotion manifest in action, touching the lives of others for Your glory.
Creator of all, I also bring forth my relationships. Help me to remember that the people in my life are invaluable treasures designed to uplift, encourage, and challenge me to grow in faith. I commit my family, friends, and even acquaintances into Your hands today, asking for guidance on how I can cultivate these relationships in a way that honors You. May my love for them reflect the unconditional love You have shown me, and may I not seek to hold onto my relationships for selfish reasons but rather to glorify You through them.
Lord, as I reflect on the call to devote all that I have unto You, I recognize that this requires courage. It calls for me to let go of my fears; the fear of lacking provision, the fear of invalidation, and the fear of the future. Help me to trust wholeheartedly in You, for You are my provider. Your promises remain steadfast: that if I seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things shall be added unto me (Matthew 6:33).
In this spirit of devotion, I pray that You will strengthen my commitment to seek Your will first above all else. Teach me to weigh my decisions and actions in light of their eternal value. Let my heart become more aligned with Yours, desiring the things that You desire, forsaking worldly pursuits, and embracing a lifestyle of holiness.
As I conclude this prayer, I offer You my life anew, recognizing that I am but a steward of the abundant blessings You have bestowed upon me. Let everything I devote unto You be indeed most holy, sacred in the service it renders to Your Kingdom. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
