"He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me." - Luke 10:16

O Sovereign Lord, Creator of the heavens and the earth, I come before You today with a heart full of reverence and gratitude for the truths revealed in Your holy Word. As I reflect upon the words of Jesus in Luke 10:16, "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me," I am reminded of the profound responsibility that comes with being Your messenger in this world.

Lord, I thank You for the privilege of being able to bear witness to Your love and grace. You have entrusted the message of Your Gospel to us, and I acknowledge that when I speak of You, I represent Christ Himself. Help me, God, to speak boldly and faithfully, knowing that my words have the power to lead others to You. May I be a vessel of Your truth in a world that often rejects the very notions of righteousness and holiness that You have dictated through Your Word.

As the world turns its back on the light, I pray that I may be a bright beacon reflecting Your glory. May those who hear me hear Your voice. Empower me, Lord, with Your Holy Spirit, so that my words might resonate with the truth of the Scriptures. Let them not merely be the cacophony of empty rhetoric, but rather the sweet sound of hope and salvation that echoes Your will and purpose. May I always strive to speak in alignment with Your teachings, for I know that it is in hearing the message of Christ that lives are transformed. Whatever I may face in this undertaking, remind me that I do not labor in vain, but I labor in partnership with You, the Almighty God.

Lord, I recognize that sharing Your message may lead to rejection and scorn. You have foretold that those who despise Your servants also despise You. Help me to prepare my heart for this reality. May I confront any fear of rejection with the knowledge that it is not me they reject, but You, the Author of life and truth. It can be disheartening, dear Lord, to face opposition and ridicule, but I remember that Jesus Himself was rejected by His own. Help me to find comfort in knowing that service to You comes with challenges, and that suffering for Your name is in itself a form of sharing in Your glory.

I ask that You grant me wisdom and discernment. As I engage with others, give me the sensitivity to recognize when they are receptive to Your message and to know when to walk away from opposition without bitterness. I do not want my pride to interfere with Your work. Let my heart be filled with compassion, longing for every soul to come to know You. Even those who despise me, may I still see them through Your eyes—may I understand that their rejection stems from ignorance and confusion.

Ultimately, I place my trust in You, Father. For those who dismiss me, I release them into Your hands. Help me to not take offense, but rather to respond in love. Give me the strength to pray for my persecutors, for it is Your desire that none should perish. I long to see the day when all will recognize the majesty of Christ and bow in humble adoration before You.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and for the amazing grace which offers salvation freely to all. May I never forget the weight of the call that is upon me to be a true disciple. I pray that You strengthen not only my resolve but also the resolve of all believers who stand firm in Your truth. Help us to encourage one another in our journey of spreading the Good News.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
