Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I pause in reverence, acknowledging Your sovereignty and grace. I am reminded by the words of Your Holy Scripture, specifically Luke 12:21, which states, "So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Lord, this profound truth resonates deeply within my heart as I reflect on the essence of life, the purpose of my existence, and the manner in which I am spending the resources You have entrusted to me.

Gracious God, help me to shift my focus from the temporal pleasures and treasures of this earth to the lasting value of being rich in You. The world around me clamors for wealth and success, often measuring one’s worth in material possessions. Yet, I know that these things are fleeting, as stated in Your Word, that moth and rust will consume them. Help me, Lord, to remember that true riches come from a heart aligned with Your will, one that treasures relationships, acts of kindness, and faithfulness to Your kingdom.

Lord, I ask for Your guidance as I endeavor to live a life that glorifies You. Teach me to be a good steward of my time, talents, and treasures. May I prioritize my spiritual growth and seek to enrich my relationship with You above all else. Instill in me a desire to invest in the lives of others, reflecting Your love through acts of service, generosity, and compassion. I understand that every moment, every blessing, and every resource is a gift from You, and I want to use them wisely.

I pray for the wisdom to discern what it means to be "rich toward God." Open my eyes to opportunities where I can serve and bless those around me. Prompt my heart to give and share selflessly, knowing that whatever I do for the least of these, I do for You (Matthew 25:40). Help me to create an eternal impact by building up treasures in heaven that cannot be taken away.

Father, release my grip on material possessions and help me to combat the desire for wealth that can lead to anxiety and discontent. Teach me to find my sufficiency in You alone rather than in the abundance of things. May my heart be set on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3:1-2). As I invest in my relationship with You and others, may my life reflect the joy and hope that comes from being rich in faith and love.

Lord, guard my heart against the temptations of this world, which often leads me to pursue treasures that do not last. Instill within me an eternal perspective that values Your kingdom above all else. I pray for those who are struggling with the pursuit of wealth, that they may find peace in understanding that true richness is found in relationship with You.

Let me be a vessel through which Your light shines brightly, drawing others toward the hope of eternal life in You. May my life serve as a testimony of what it means to be rich toward God, influencing others to seek first the kingdom of heaven and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

In closing, Lord, I surrender my ambitions, desires, and the treasures of my heart to You. Help me to live each day with eternity in mind, always seeking ways to be rich toward You and encouraging others to do the same. Thank You for the grace You bestow upon me and for the opportunity to experience the true treasures of life through a vibrant relationship with You.
