O Lord God Almighty,

As I kneel before You in humble adoration, I am reminded of the profound commandment You have given us, revealed in the Gospel of Mark: "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Lord, I come before You, acknowledging the depth of these words that challenge and inspire us.

Father, I seek to love You with all my heart. May my heart be a sanctuary for Your presence—a vessel overflowing with gratitude, awe, and devotion. Help me to cast aside distractions and anything that might divide my affection from You. Fill my heart with a passion for Your glory, so that every beat echoes Your love for me and my love for You. Teach me to bring my heart into alignment with Your will, so that in every action and thought, I reflect Your grace and mercy.

With all my soul, Lord, I desire to be wholly Yours. In the quietest moments of my day, let my soul find its rest in You. May every ounce of my being be dedicated to seeking You, glorifying You, and understanding the depth of Your love. In the midst of life’s trials and tribulations, remind me that my soul is secure in Your hands. Purify my soul, O Lord, that it may reflect Your eternal light and joy, drawing others towards You through my being.

As I engage my mind, I pray for wisdom and understanding. Help me, dear Lord, to dwell on Your words and meditate on Your truths. Let my thoughts be governed by Your Spirit, leading me away from the things of this world that cloud my judgment. Instill in me a hunger to study Your Scriptures, to know You more intimately, and to grasp the depth of Your love. As my mind is transformed by Your truth, may I become a vessel of knowledge and peace in my community, able to share the hope found only in You.

And with all my strength, I commit to serving You and my neighbour. Empower me, O God, to carry Your Light into the world, to act justly, and to love mercy. May my strength be a reflection of Your power, guiding me to help those in need and to be a source of comfort and support. Help me not to shrink back in the face of challenges, but to rise up in Your Spirit, knowing that it is You who gives me strength and courage.

In the second commandment, You call me to love my neighbour as myself. Teach me to see those around me through Your eyes, to understand their struggles and joys as integral to the community You created. May my heart overflow with compassion, my actions reflect kindness, and my words bring hope. Help me to overcome any prejudices that may linger in my heart, so that I may embrace everyone—even those who are different from me—just as You embraced me in my brokenness.

Lord, as I attempt to live out these commandments, I know that I will stumble and fall. Yet, I trust in Your unfailing grace. Let Your love renew my spirit each day, guiding me back to the path of righteousness whenever I stray. Help me to surround myself with those who encourage me to grow in love and obedience to You, and may I, in turn, be an encouragement to them.

Thank You, Lord, for the guidance of Your Word and the strength You provide. May my life be a testament to Your great commandments, a reflection of the love that You so generously pour into all our hearts. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, Amen.
