"After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them." - Matthew 25:19

O Gracious and Almighty God,

As I come before You today, I am reminded of the profound truth found in Matthew 25:19, "After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them." Lord, I humble myself in recognition of Your greatness and Your everlasting presence in my life. You are the Creator of all things, the Giver of every good gift, and the Sustainer of my soul. I acknowledge the authority You hold over me, and I bow in reverence to Your divine will.

Father, I understand that You have entrusted me with certain gifts, talents, and responsibilities. You have bestowed upon me time, resources, relationships, and opportunities to further Your kingdom and to fulfill my calling. It is a great privilege to be called a servant in Your house, and it fills my heart with both joy and solemnity. I know that one day, as stated in Your Word, You will return, and in that day, I will have to give an account of how I have used what You have given me.

O Lord, instill in me a sense of urgency and purpose. Help me to recognize the weight of my stewardship. I pray for wisdom to manage the gifts You have given me. May I be diligent and faithful in executing my role as a servant, always working diligently to multiply the resources You have provided.

I confess, dear Lord, that at times I have been lazy and complacent. I have neglected the responsibilities that You have set before me, often getting lost in the distractions of life. Please forgive me for those moments of weakness. Cleanse my heart and renew my spirit, that I may rise to the occasion and serve You wholeheartedly. Help me to align my priorities with Your kingdom purposes, making every effort to glorify You in all that I do.

Jesus, You are the perfect example of a servant leader. You came not to be served, but to serve, and to give Your life as a ransom for many. Teach me to do the same. May my life reflect Your love, compassion, and grace to those around me. Enable me to be generous in sharing what I have, whether it be my time, resources, or talents. Let my actions always speak of Your goodness, that others might see and be drawn to You.

I pray for a heart of servitude, one that seeks to please You rather than seeking the approval of man. When You return, Lord, may I hear the reassuring words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord" (Matthew 25:21). Let this be the desire of my heart—to bring glory to Your name and to be a good steward of the gifts You have entrusted to me.

Additionally, I lift up all those around me who are also stewards of their own gifts, whether great or small. May we all be encouraged to labor with faithfulness, embracing our God-given calling and responsibilities. Help us to support each other in this endeavor, holding one another accountable in love and grace, as we walk together on this journey of faith.

In the days and seasons ahead, remind me that it is not the quantity but the quality of my service that counts in Your kingdom. Let my efforts be driven by love and fueled by the guidance of Your Holy Spirit. May I always remember that my ultimate aim is to bring You glory and to further Your kingdom on earth.

Lord, as I await Your glorious return, help me to remain vigilant, pressing on with hope and courage, knowing that I am working not for my own gain but for Your eternal glory. In Jesus' name, I pray,

Amen.
