Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and humility, acknowledging Your eternal greatness and sovereign authority over all creation. As we meditate on Nehemiah 12:7, which reminds us of the legacy of leadership and dedication, we are inspired by the names mentioned: Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah. These names are not just relics of history; they represent the faithful leadership that You have established throughout generations, and we recognize their vital roles in guiding Your people during a crucial time of restoration.

O Lord, just as Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, and Jedaiah stood as chief priests in the days of Jeshua, we ask that You raise up leaders in our communities who are committed to Your divine purpose. Grant us the wisdom to recognize and support those You have appointed to lead us in faith and righteousness. May these leaders embody the virtues of integrity, humility, and dedication to Your Word, guiding us with love and discernment in all matters.

Father, we acknowledge that leadership carries both a blessing and a heavy burden. Therefore, we pray for strength and encouragement for those in positions of authority—be it in our churches, families, or communities. Grant them the courage to confront challenges and to stand firm in their convictions as they shepherd the people entrusted to their care. Fill their hearts with compassion, so that they may touch lives with Your grace and mercy.

In a world that often challenges the principles of faith, we encourage our leaders to stay steadfast, just as the chief priests did in the days of Jerusalem's rebuild. Lord, we ask that You instill within them a deep reverence for Your Word and a passion for leading others into a deeper relationship with You. As we reflect on the work of restoration that Nehemiah and the priests accomplished, we plead for a similar movement in our own lives and communities.
