Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with grateful hearts, recognizing Your sovereignty and grace that encompasses every person, regardless of their background. As we reflect on the words of Numbers 9:14, which remind us that "if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD; according to the ordinance of the passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land," we are struck by the beauty of unity and inclusivity that You desire among Your people.

Oh Lord, You are the Creator of all nations, and it is Your heart’s desire that every individual who seeks You is embraced and accepted within the fold of Your loving arms. We pray that Your Church mirrors this heart of acceptance, that we may not differentiate between the foreigner and the native-born but honor and value each soul as precious in Your sight. Help us to remember that when we accept the stranger, we are, in fact, accepting You.

Lord, we recognize that our world is riddled with division, prejudice, and misunderstanding. Help us to shatter these walls of hostility that separate us. Let our hearts be open to those who come into our lives seeking refuge, understanding, and community. Grant us the wisdom and courage to reach generously across borders, cultures, and ideologies, welcoming those who follow that path of fellowship and faith. May our gatherings be a reflection of Your kingdom, where every person, regardless of history or heritage, finds a place at the table of righteousness.

As we consider the Passover, a symbol of salvation and deliverance, remind us that it is not limited by heritage or circumstance. We thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who, through His death and resurrection, extended salvation to all mankind. No longer are we to be bound by the constraints of the law alone, but through faith in Christ, we are united into one holy body. Teach us to celebrate this unity, honoring the traditions and observances that You have laid out for us, while simultaneously being inclusive of those who join us in worship.

We ask that our hearts would be sensitive to the needs of those around us, particularly those who may feel marginalized or excluded. Let Your Holy Spirit empower us to advocate for justice, compassion, and kindness, so that all who enter our communities find grace and acceptance in abundance. Help us to extend our hand in love to the stranger as we would to our brother and sister. Let our love be genuine, reflecting the very essence of Christ’s love that breaks down every barrier.

Mighty God, instill within us a spirit of humility as we engage with one another, remembering our own need for grace and mercy. Guide our thoughts and interactions, that we may be peacemakers, building up the body of Christ rather than tearing it down. Mesh us together in such a way that our diversity enriches our worship and glorifies Your name. May we see each other as You see us—beautifully made in Your image, with gifts and talents that enhance the tapestry of Your Church.

Finally, Lord, fortify our commitment to actively embrace those who seek You among us, regardless of their backgrounds. Help us to celebrate their participation in Your ordinances with joy and reverence, for we are one in Christ. Let our hearts beat in unison, echoing Your love, mercy, and grace. We ask all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.
