A Prayer for Abundance and Righteousness

"The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked." - Proverbs 10:3

"The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked." - Proverbs 10:{verse.verse_number}

Heavenly Father, Creator of all that is good and righteous, I come before You today with a heart overflowing with gratitude for the many blessings You have bestowed upon me. Thank You for being my sustainer, my guide, and my provider, as I reflect on the wisdom of Your Word found in Proverbs 10:3: "The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked."

Lord, I acknowledge the truth in this verse and declare my trust in Your divine providence. I am reminded that You are faithful to Your promises, and for every trial I face, You have already prepared an answer. You know the needs of my heart, the struggles I endure, and the hopes I nurture. In moments of uncertainty, remind me, Lord, of Your steadfast nature; let this scripture be a balm to my weary soul.

As I consider the righteous, I pray for those who strive daily to live according to Your will. You, O God, have called us to holiness, and while the world is filled with temptations and distractions, let us be anchored in our faith. Strengthen the resolve of the righteous so their souls may never famish under pressures and trials. Teach us to pursue righteousness diligently in all areas of our lives—our thoughts, our attitudes, our actions, and our relationships.

Help us Lord, to seek after You and to put our trust in Your promises. Just as a good tree bears good fruit, allow our lives to reflect Your glory. May we be filled with compassion for others, reaching out in love and service to those who are less fortunate. In doing so, may we exhibit the righteousness that You desire and thus acknowledge the blessings You have continuously poured upon us.

Father God, I also pray for wisdom and discernment so that we may understand the difference between the substance of the wicked and the abundance You provide. In a world that often seems skewed toward materialism and greed, help us to recognize what truly matters: Your kingdom and righteousness. Show us how to engage with the world around us in a way that is pleasing to You, resisting the temptation to align ourselves with the pursuits of the wicked.

Teach us, O Lord, the value of contentment and faithfulness. Fill our hearts with peace as we trust that even in our times of need, You have not abandoned us. Your Word assures us that we will never go hungry if we walk in Your righteousness. May we lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways recognize You, for You will lead us on the right path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lord, I reflect on the plight of the wicked, those who chase after fleeting desires and riches at the expense of their souls. My heart aches for those who seek fulfillment in the wrong places. I pray for their hearts and minds, that they may see the futility in their pursuits and turn to You. Draw them to the same saving grace that has transformed my life. Let them see that true substance, true joy, and peace come only from a relationship with You.

In the name of Jesus, help us to spread the light of righteousness into the dark corners of our world, to be the salt and light You have called us to be. Empower us, Holy Spirit, as we step forth in faith, confident that we shall not want, for You are our Shepherd.

Thank You, Lord, for the assurance that You will care for the needs of the righteous and for the promise of eternal sustenance in Your presence. May my life reflect this truth, and may I continue to walk in Your righteous path all the days of my life.

In Jesus' mighty name, I pray, Amen.
