Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I am reminded of the wisdom found in Proverbs 11:27, which states, "He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him." O Lord, I stand in awe of Your Word, recognizing the profound truth it holds about our choices and their consequences. Each day, You present us with opportunities to seek good or to entertain mischief, and I ask for Your guidance as I navigate the path before me.

Lord, I pray that You would instill within me a heart that diligently seeks good. Help me to recognize what is good in Your eyes, to pursue righteousness, kindness, and justice with fervor. May I not be distracted by the allure of mischief or the fleeting pleasures that come from selfish desires. Instead, grant me the wisdom to understand that true fulfillment lies in seeking Your goodness, serving others, and living a life that reflects Your love.

As I seek good, Lord, I ask that You would open doors of favor in my life. Favor from You, from those around me, and from circumstances which might seem impossible to navigate. Your Word promises that when we seek good, we will procure favor. I claim that promise today and place my trust in Your faithfulness. Let my actions be aligned with Your will, and may they draw others to You through my example of faith and virtue.

Father, I also pray for clarity in my decisions. Help me to discern what is indeed good and to choose it wisely. In a world that often glorifies conflict, jealousy, and malice, I pray for courage to stand firm in Your truth. Guide my steps towards paths of peace, understanding, and compassion. Let my heart be a vessel of Your goodness, pouring out love to my family, friends, and even those who may not treat me well.

I am aware, Lord, that the pursuit of mischief can come easily, often masquerading as harmless fun or a fleeting enjoyment. Help me to steer clear of these temptations. When I encounter situations that may lead me down the path of mischief, may I feel the gentle nudging of Your Holy Spirit, guiding me back onto the path of righteousness. Let me always remember that seeking mischief not only harms me but can also impact those around me. I fervently pray that I would never cause others to stumble by my actions.

Lord, when I find myself in challenging circumstances, I ask that You remind me of the importance of seeking good even when it seems difficult. May I be a source of light in darkness, a beacon of hope in despair, demonstrating the faith that is rooted in Your promise. Teach me to not be discouraged by the trials I may face as I seek good but to find strength in knowing that You are always with me.

I pray for my community, Lord — that we may collectively seek good rather than mischief. May our efforts reflect Your goodness, and may we come together in unity to uplift one another, breaking chains of negativity and fostering an environment of support and love. Let our hearts be inclined towards generosity and service, always looking for ways to bless those around us.

As I conclude this prayer, I thank You, Lord, for the promise of Your favor when I seek good. May my life be a testimony of Your grace and a reflection of Your love. Help me, O Lord, to be mindful of my choices and to pursue goodness with unwavering diligence, trusting that in doing so, I not only draw closer to You but also invite favor into every area of my life.
