A Prayer for Wisdom and Righteousness
"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." - Proverbs 11:30

Heavenly Father,
As I come before You today, I am reminded of the profound wisdom found in Your Word, specifically in Proverbs 11:30, which speaks to the righteousness and the invaluable importance of winning souls. "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." Lord, this verse resonates deeply within my spirit. It ignites a fervent desire to be counted among the righteous, to bear fruit that glorifies Your name, and to walk in the way of wisdom, as I reach out to those who are lost.
I thank You, God, for the gift of righteousness that comes through faith in Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that it is not my own doing that makes me righteous, but rather the surrender of my life to the finished work on the Cross. May my heart reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance (Galatians 5:22-23). Help me, Lord, to cultivate these attributes within me, so that my life may be a tree of life to others, providing nourishment and light that points back to You.
Father, I pray that my actions and words may inspire others to seek You. Let my life be a beacon of hope in a world often overshadowed by despair and confusion. Open my eyes to the needs around me, and give me boldness to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. I desire to be wise, according to Your definition of wisdom—the wisdom that comes from above, which is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (James 3:17). Guide me in my interactions with others, so that I may not only share the message of salvation but also demonstrate Your love in tangible ways—through acts of service and kindness.
I ask for Your divine guidance as I seek to win souls for You. Help me to be patient and understanding, recognizing that each heart is uniquely made, and each journey to You is individual. Teach me to listen more than I speak, to empathize with those in pain, and to express the transformational power of Your grace. Allow my testimony to shine brightly in the lives of those I encounter—friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers. Lord, may my life be a testament to the stark contrast between the way of the righteous and the path of iniquity.
Lord, give me a heart that deeply cares for those who are wandering, those who have strayed from Your truth. Ignite within me a passion for evangelism that cannot be contained. Break my heart for what breaks Yours, and lead me to opportunities where I can plant seeds of faith. Whether it be through a simple conversation, an act of kindness, or sharing my testimony, let every moment be filled with purpose as I strive to carry out the Great Commission.
In Your Word, You remind us that the fruit of the righteous is a tree of life. May my life be a source of life to others, pouring forth the essence of who You are. Let my love for You overflow into my love for others, drawing them closer to the embrace of Your arms. I pray for spiritual discernment, that I may recognize when hearts are ripe for the harvest and that I may act accordingly, being steadfast and unyielding in my mission to win souls for Christ.
Thank You, Lord, for the promise that those who seek to win souls are wise. May my wisdom grow as I remain connected to the True Vine. Let the fruits of my labor bring glory to Your name, and let those who encounter my life be drawn to the beauty of Your holiness.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray,
Amen.
