Heavenly Father,

I come before You with a heart full of gratitude, acknowledging Your infinite wisdom and boundless goodness. You are the Creator of the universe, the Author of life, and the Source of all true understanding. Today, I seek Your guidance as I reflect on the profound truth found in Proverbs 21:20, which tells us: "There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up."

Lord, I recognize that the treasures You refer to encompass not just material wealth, but the abundant blessings of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that You freely give to those who seek You. Help me to cultivate a heart attuned to Your voice, that I may discern the treasures that are truly valuable. May I not only desire these treasures but also act upon them, using them for Your glory and the betterment of those around me.

I ask for the wisdom of the wise, that my dwelling may be filled with the oil of Your presence and the richness of Your insights. Guide me to listen and learn, to be ever open to the counsel of Your Word. In a world filled with distractions and deceptions, remind me that the sought-after treasures do not lie in the accumulation of riches but in the knowledge of You.

Father, grant me the discernment to recognize what is truly wise. Let me, like the wise man, understand the importance of stewardship in every area of my life. Help me manage the gifts You have given me—my finances, my time, my talents, and my relationships—with care and respect. Let my heart be inclined toward a life of purpose and responsibility, reflecting Your character in each decision I make.

I confess that at times I have acted foolishly, spending time and resources on fleeting pleasures that do not last. Forgive me for my haste to squander what You have provided, for forgetting that every good gift comes from You. Remind me, Lord, that spending it all in the moment leaves nothing for tomorrow. Instill in me a spirit of self-control and foresight, that I may invest wisely in the things that matter most.

As I seek to embrace the wisdom of Your Word, instill in me the understanding that treasures are to be desired, but they must also be cherished and preserved. Help me to nurture the relationships in my life, the opportunities You lay before me, and the talents with which You have blessed me. May I not only desire wisdom but also live it out in my daily actions, becoming a reflection of Christ in a world in desperate need of Your light.

Lord, help me to share the treasures of wisdom I receive with others. Make me an instrument of Your peace and guidance, encouraging those around me to seek what is good and true. Help me to inspire a culture of wisdom, where everyone is encouraged to cherish and protect the treasures we hold dear.

May I continue to grow in wisdom and grace, knowing that the path of the wise leads to life and abundance. Help me to cultivate a heart that is generous, understanding that true wealth is found in what I give rather than what I hoard. Let me seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, trusting that all these things shall be added unto me (Matthew 6:33).

Finally, Lord, I pray for those who may be struggling with the burden of foolish spending, whether it be of time, resources, or energy. Bring them back to the place of wisdom where they can reassess their priorities and be restored to right stewardship. Encourage them to turn to You, the ultimate source of wisdom, and let them find strength in Your guidance.

In all things, I give You thanks, trusting in Your perfect plan and unfailing love. May I remain mindful of the truth of Proverbs 21:20 and strive to be wise in seeking, preserving, and sharing the treasures that reflect Your glory.
