O Heavenly Father,

In the stillness of this moment, I come before You with a heart full of reverence and awe, acknowledging Your majesty as the Creator of the heavens and the earth. I stand in Your presence, seeking Your grace and guidance, and I humbly reflect on the wisdom of Your Word. As I meditate on Proverbs 3:34, ‘Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly,’ I am reminded of the profound truth that permeates this scripture.

Lord, my heart desires to be among the lowly, those who walk in humility and dependence on You. In a world that often praises pride and self-sufficiency, help me to remember that true greatness is found in bending low and lifting others up. May I never become a scorner who looks down on others or thinks too highly of myself. Teach me instead to cultivate a spirit of humility, recognizing that my worth is found not in my accomplishments but in being Your child.

Father, I ask You to soften my heart. Remove any traces of arrogance or disdain towards those who may struggle in life or who do not share my beliefs or values. Help me to remember that we are all created in Your image and that each person has a story that deserves respect and kindness. Let my actions reflect Your love and grace towards others, especially those whom society may overlook or scorn.

I confess, O Lord, that there have been times when I have succumbed to the temptation of pride. Forgive me for the moments I have judged others harshly, for the times I have ignored the needs of the lowly, and for any words of scorn that have escaped my lips. I recognize that such attitudes not only grieve Your Spirit but also push me away from the grace that You so freely bestow upon the humble.

Father, I earnestly seek Your grace today. Pour it out upon me, as You have promised, and teach me to extend that same grace to others. May Your grace fill the spaces where scorn and contempt try to take root in my heart. Remind me daily that grace is not a privilege I earn, but a gift I receive—a gift that calls me to live differently, to love deeply, and to serve generously.

Help me to be an instrument of Your peace, Lord. Let my words and actions reflect the grace that transforms. In my interactions with others, may I bring honor to Your name by walking in humility. Let me be a beacon of Your light, showing the world that true strength lies in gentleness and that compassion is the badge of a true follower of Christ.

I pray for our communities, Lord. There is much division and scorn among people. I stand in the gap and intercede for those who are scorners and skeptics. Unveil their eyes to see the beauty of humility and the power of grace that You offer. May they open their hearts to You, and may they be transformed by Your unerring love.

As I conclude this prayer, I thank You for the promise that You scorn the scorners, and yet extend grace to the lowly. May Your grace abound in my life and flow from me into the lives of others. Let me always remember that it is by grace that I stand, and may I always seek to walk in humility. In Jesus’ name, I pray,
