Gracious and Almighty God,

We come before you today with hearts full of gratitude and praise, echoing the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 107:21: "Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" Lord, we cannot begin to fathom the depths of your goodness, yet we long to express our unending thanks for all that you are and all that you have done.

As we gather in your presence, we acknowledge your unfailing love that has been poured out upon us, a love that is not contingent upon our actions but is rooted in the very essence of who you are. We thank you for your salvation and mercy, for the grace that saw fit to rescue us from darkness and to shine your light upon our lives. You have redeemed us, Lord, and your wonderful works are a testament to the magnitude of your compassion and faithfulness.

Oh, that we would always be mindful to praise you! Help us to remember the countless blessings you have bestowed upon us throughout our lives. From the first light of dawn that greets us every day, to the gentle whispers of your Spirit guiding us, to the people you have placed in our lives who reflect your character—in them, we see your goodness, Lord. Your works are evident in the beauty of creation, in the sunrise over the mountains, in the laughter of children, and even in the quiet moments of solitude where we feel your presence most keenly.

We lift up our voices in adoration, thanking you for the tangible provisions you supply daily. For the food we eat, the shelter that protects us, and the love of family and friends, we give praise. You are our Provider, our Sustainer, and our Healer. Your goodness knows no bounds, and your wonderful works remind us that you are actively involved in our lives, orchestrating the details for our good and your glory.

Yet, Lord, we confess that there are times when we forget to praise you for these gifts. There are moments when despair clouds our view, when trials embolden our worries, and when gratitude gives way to discontent. Forgive us, Father, for our neglect to honor you in all circumstances. Teach us to recognize your hand at work, even when we face challenges and difficulties. Help us to remember that your goodness is not contingent upon our circumstances, but is an everlasting truth that we can anchor our lives upon.

In those times of trial, let us not lean on our own understanding but turn our hearts to praise you. May our prayers be filled with thanksgiving, for we know that what the enemy intends for evil, you can use for our good. You are the Master of all things, seeing the beginning from the end, and you hold us in the palm of your hand. We trust in your plan, even when it feels heavy upon our hearts.

We pray for a spirit of praise to sweep over our communities and nations. Oh, that men would come together to acknowledge your wonderful works! May our testimonies of your goodness bring hope to the hopeless and light to those living in darkness. We long to see a generation arise, unashamed of their faith, proclaiming your goodness boldly.

Lord, we declare that we will be a people who praise you! We will testify of your faithfulness to our children and our children’s children. We will not hide your wondrous deeds but speak of them in our gatherings, in our conversations, and in our worship. May our lives be a living testament to your greatness and grace.
