O Gracious and Almighty God,

In reverence and awe, we come before You today, filled with gratitude for Your profound wisdom and perfect justice. As we reflect on the words of Psalm 67:4, we are reminded of the vision You have for humanity and the joy You desire to instill in the hearts of all nations. "O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah."

Heavenly Father, we plead with You to pour forth Your gladness upon the nations. In these tumultuous times, where strife and division often overshadow peace, let Your joy be a beacon of hope that pulls us together. May Your light illuminate the darkest corners of our world, where despair threatens to extinguish the spirit of joy. Remind us, O Lord, that joy is not merely a fleeting emotion or a superficial mask we wear; rather, it is a profound state of being that arises from knowing You and Your eternal goodness.

Lord, inspire us to embrace the gladness that comes from trusting in Your sovereign judgment. We live in a time where human judgments often fail, where injustices persist, and where the pleas of the oppressed seem to fall on deaf ears. Yet, we take comfort in Your promise that You shall judge the people righteously. We pray for Your wisdom to reign in every courtroom, in every legislative body, and in every heart that holds authority over others.

May the leaders across the nations seek Your righteousness in their governance. We ask that You stir their hearts to pursue justice, to advocate for the voiceless, and to seek the well-being of all people, regardless of their background or status. Lord, let not the powerful exploit their authority, but rather, inspire them to serve with humility, compassion, and integrity.

Gracious God, we also turn our prayers toward the brokenness and conflict that exist within nations. Where there is division, let there be reconciliation. Where hatred and violence reign, let Your love and peace stabilize. We know that when we include You in our efforts for a better world, our understanding of joy transforms into a deeper, more authentic expression of our faith. May our songs of joy rise as testaments to Your righteousness at work in our lives and communities.

We believe, O Lord, that as You govern the nations, peace can flourish. We pray for Your governance to be prominent everywhere: in our homes, our neighborhoods, our cities, and across the world. Let every leader recognize that their authority is not merely given to them for their own gain, but as a sacred trust to carry out Your will on earth. Let them seek Your face in moments of decision, asking for Your guidance and yielding to Your direction at all times.

And amidst our prayers, may our hearts remain steadfast in the knowledge of Your power. Help us to actively participate in building a world where gladness prevails—a world where joy is rooted in love, compassion, and respect for one another. Give us the courage to stand up for righteousness, to be instruments of change, and to share the joy of Your salvation with those around us.

As we conclude this prayer, we lift our voices in unison to declare our faith in Your eternal promise. We trust that as we seek You, nations will indeed rejoice, and people will sing for joy in anticipation of the delightful future You have for us. For, O Lord, we know that the essence of Your governance is marked by justice, and it is in that understanding that we find our peace and gladness.
