Heavenly Father,

As I come before You today, I am reminded of the powerful truth found in Psalms 87:6: "The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah." Lord, in this moment of reflection, I pause to contemplate the profound significance of being counted among Your people. It is an honor beyond comprehension to know that, in Your perfect records, my name is inscribed as a citizen of heaven. You see my heart, my struggles, and my faith, and You have declared me worthy through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

O Lord, I thank You for the privilege of being born into Your family. Just as this psalm celebrates the diverse origins of Your people, I am awed by the fact that You have drawn us from many nations, languages, and backgrounds to be united in one love, one faith, and one purpose. I am reminded that my earthly identity is transient, but my true identity as a child of God is eternal. Help me to live in the fullness of this reality, embracing the truth that my citizenship is not defined by my culture or my societal standing, but by my relationship with You.

Father, as I meditate on the word "Selah," may I take a moment of stillness to reflect on Your grace. You are the God who knows each of us by name. Your records do not merely list our physical birthplace, but rather, You count every person born again in the Spirit, those who have chosen to follow the path of righteousness laid out by Christ. I pray that I may always cherish this new birth, recognizing it as the most significant event in my life. Let me never take for granted the price You paid for my redemption, nor forget to uphold the hope that lies within me as a member of Your heavenly kingdom.

Help me to understand that being counted among Your people comes with responsibility. You call us not just to receive Your inheritance, but to extend Your love to others. As I navigate the challenges of life, remind me that I am not alone. I am part of an immense tapestry woven by Your hands, filled with my brothers and sisters from every corner of the earth. Strengthen my resolve to be a radiant reflection of Your love and light in this world, so that others may see the beauty of being born again in You.

Lord, I also pray for those who do not know the joy of being counted among Your people. As I reflect upon my own spiritual journey, I am painfully aware of how many around me are still striving to fill the voids in their lives with temporary things that cannot satisfy. May my life serve as a beacon, drawing them toward Your light and love. Grant me the wisdom and courage to share the good news, reminding them that they are invited to be counted amongst those who have been redeemed.

In all things, Father, teach me to keep my heart aligned with Your will, trusting that when You write up Your people, my life will be a testament of Your faithfulness and grace. I pray that my deeds, words, and actions reflect the truth of my new birth—showing others that the embodiment of love, mercy, and grace is found only in You.

Thank You, Lord, for the assurance of being counted in Your heavenly record. I rest in the comfort of knowing that my past does not define me, but my relationship with You does. Help me to ever live in the awareness that, when You look upon me, You see a beloved child, born not just of flesh, but of Your Spirit.
